Brampton is ideally placed to enjoy the many attractions close by, none more so than the iconic Hadrian’s Wall.Within a few miles from Bramble Cottage you can walk stretches of the wall and enjoy reading the history along the way. Just 2 miles from Brampton, visit Talkin Tarn Country Park with its 65-acre lake set amid 120 acres of farmland and woodland, the ideal place to enjoy a walk or even try your hand at some boating on the lake. The beautiful border city of Carlisle is a short 20-minute drive away where you can visit the castle or just take in some retail therapy at some of the high street shops. Further afield, visit the delights of the Lake District National Park or cross the border for a scenic drive into Scotland.
