Perfect Location but that's about all
This was one of my more if not my most disappointing rental experiences of maybe 100+ that I have had.
First and foremost the apartment is immediately adjacent to the railway line so if you are a light sleeper then beware.
The listing promised onsite parking which the property does not have. The owners representative claims it was a miscommunication with VRBO - not my problem but no parking. Also no proper consideration of reimbursing the amount which I incurred in parking costs, just a semantics discussion on whether on site parking meant it was free.
There are about thirty steps to get up to the property not an issue but it would have been good to know that in the listing.
On arrival absolutely no information about things like how to operate anything in the apartment, details of nearby shops or facilities just nothing - not one scrap of paper. This is surely the minimum one can expect and has been available in every single one of my past rentals.
No sanitizer available, something which, in every other place I have rented these holidays, appears in abundance.
The floor was gritty and unclean as was the dining tabletop. I mentioned this after I arrived and am amazed that no attempt whatsoever was made to fix this issue.
There was one floor fan which was disgustingly and I do mean disgustingly filthy.
The internet didn't work and I discovered upon looking at the bottom of the router that they had provided the wrong network and password.
Spare pillows had no linen on them and the cupboard in which they were stored was a mess.
Two coffee pods for two people for four days in a town where it simply isn't possible to buy such things indicated the lack of hospitality.
No beach towels for a property which markets itself as close to the beach and as a beachside property.
Empty air freshener in bathroom empty laundry detergent.
Not a big deal but no microwave, something I think most travelers would expect these days.
It may all sounds petty but the package made it a less than enjoyable holiday.
Bottom line the owners and/or managers show a distinct lack of caring and understanding of the needs of travelers.
