About this property

A lovely apartment close to Jolly Harbour and Jolly Beach. Enjoy inside/outside living with the spacious, private and covered veranda which is surrounded by lush tropical gardens.
The living room includes a well-equipped kitchen with dining area and plenty of space for relaxing in the lounge, opening on to the secluded veranda from which you can stroll out directly into the gardens and to the pool. There are ceiling fans and air conditioning throughout. The master bedroom has an en-suite bathroom, built in wardrobes and direct access to the veranda. There is also a comfortable twin bedroom and another full shower room.
The apartment is serviced with a smart television and internet connection, a cot and highchair for little ones, full insect mesh on all the windows, and a charcoal BBQ for outside living.
The large private pool and secluded gardens are shared by just the 4 apartments in this handsome, colonial style property, set back on a private road with off street parking. We are a leisurely 7-minute stroll down a country lane to the local supermarket, restaurants and shops of Jolly Harbour, and a further 7-minute stroll to the stunning Jolly Beach, where there is a host of water sports and activities.
Hamilton House is part of Hamilton Estate, a private road of 3 villas, with the house of 4 apartments at the back. The beauty of the location is that you do not need a car because Jolly Harbour is a leisurely 7-minute stroll down a quiet lane which is almost opposite, and it contains a very well-equipped supermarket and an impressive range of shops and good quality restaurants. You go through Jolly Harbour to get to Jolly Beach, one of the most beautiful beaches in the world with calm turquoise waters and soft powdery sand. At Jolly Beach you can get involved in all sorts of water sports and excursions, or simply find a quiet spot at the end of the beach. Valley Church Beach is also walking distance and is a bit more laid back.

Antiqua Getaway

The stay in Jolly Harbor was accessible to various locations. The apartment was clean and the neighborhood is quite. I highly recommend this location.

Hamilton Estate - Apartment 3

I had a wonderful time staying at the Hamilton Estate and so did my friends and family. However, the only drawback for me was not having a working microwave and the washing machine working for when I got there. My very first stay at Hamilton Estate three years ago everything was readily available and working, and I guess I was looking forward to the same convenience. This time around I stayed in Apartment 3 and it's was not until the fourth day of my stay I got a working microwave; throughout my entire stay there I had no washing machine it was a very Big inconvenience for me a family of four. Other than that, I had a wonderful stay and will come back again and I will also tell my friends, family and co-workers about Hamilton Estate is the place to stay when visiting Antigua.

Great location, nice well stocked apartment with shared pool

Hamilton House is a 4 apartment (2 up 2 down) rental accommodation we had apt 4 on the ground floor. The pool is a good size to be shared with other 3 apartments. Large kitchen/dining/living room with 2 average sized bedrooms one with en-suite. Best part is the large deck, where we spent most of our time, relaxing, eating & bbq’ing. Less than 1/2 mile walk to Valley Church Beach one of our favorites & a similar distance to Jolly Harbour with shops, restaurants & another great beach. The couple of minor issues that came up were swiftly dealt with so as not to detract from a great week. We will definitely return to Antigua & stay @ Hamilton House again if it is available. Thanks to Jenny for taking care of us.

Lovely apartment in a great location!

We stayed in apt no’4 - downstairs. It was exactly what we were looking for. Spacious, spotless, very well equipped, with a shady veranda overlooking the garden. The lovely pool was steps away from our door. Jenny arranged our transport from and to the airport and although our flight arrived 4 hours late, Cosmore, the driver was right there to meet us at Arrivals and let us into the apartment. Jenny (who was very friendly and helpful) had hoped to be at the apartment, but had another meeting which clashed with our late arrival. Even so, she rang us to make sure everything was ok and came over to see us in the morning. There is a well stocked (if rather pricey) supermarket 10-15 minutes stroll away atJolly Harbour and four beautiful beaches within 2 miles. (Our favourite being Valley Church beach which took us about 15 minutes to walk to.) We had thought of hiring a car to explore further afield, but decided in the end not to bother as we were enjoying ourselves so much just wondering around locally. Everyone we met was friendly and welcoming - we had a fantastic week and can’t wait to go back!

Nice quiet location. Kitchen well equipped nice roomy terrace. Jenny was lovely and helpful.

Sadly the apartment was not very clean, when you walked across the floor your bare feet were always dirty. The plumbing in the kitchen and separate bathroom was poor, very little flow on the kitchen tap and virtually non existent in the bathroom sink. No problem with the sink in the on suite, hence the 3 star rating.
