Great location & place for short stays
We (2x families with 7 children 13, 13, 10, 8, 6, 3, 2 years old) spent 9 nights at the property in July/Aug 2022 during a heat wave! The air-con works very well (but it costs extra)!
We were warmly welcomed by Matteo who was very friendly and helpful (through out our stay he recommended places to visit, booked a restaurant for us and gave us a wine tasting tour).
Rooms with shower ensuite are spacious with simple furniture including smart TVs; beds a little too hard for the mothers (but no complaints from the husbands or children). Rooms operate like a hotel, each room has it's own door pass that opens and operates the air-con.
There's an open kitchen dinning room for meal times but the kitchen is not quite equipped for large gatherings or long stays as it has limited serving platers and only has a small bar fridge (which meant we had to travel into town frequently to buy food + we could only keep one bottle of wine or a few beers in the fridge at a time to save space for food). We have fed back to the host to install something bigger and provide more kitchen essentials.
There is a washing machine but this costs extra to use.
There is a small coal bbq and a lovely space outside for eating but make sure you bring insect repellent/sprays - the mosquitos are ravenous in the evenings.
It's an incredible location - over looking fields and vineyards. You do need a car as there is an unpaved road to the property and other scenic routes are also unpaved if you wanted to drive around the area.
The shared pool is a great size and you get a designated area at checkin (we were able to leave our floats, towels etc by the pool). BUT it is a 500+ meter walk along a dirt road to the pool from the farm house. We drove there as it was just too hot to walk there and back especially with small children. The pool is actually part of the Antica Grancia di Cuercecchio apartments, the building you can see in the photos with the pool (google Antica Grancia di Cuercecchio). You need to bring your own towels to use at the pool.
Overall a great location if you’re looking for a short stay (2/3/4 nights) or long weekend for a Tuscan getaway with friends or family.
