Comfortable few days

We booked lavender cottage for 2 nights whist visiting family. We are a family for 3 adults and 2 children. Communication with the owner was brilliant, he was very helpful. Cottage was lovely and clean. Had everything we needed. Beds were comfortable. Just a heads up if you have very young children or mobility issues, the stairs are quite steep. We enjoyed our stay very much and will be booking again sometime. Thanks for everything.

Facilities to not match advertisement.

We specifically booked this property because it was advertised as having a "Garden" which we wanted for our dog. In reality there was no garden and in fact no land at the rear of the property. There was a very small, flag stoned yard to the side which was used to store wheely bins for the property and shared with the next-door neighbor. The property was not prepared for 5 persons in terms of bedding, toweling, crockery etc. Attention to small details such as broken door handle and locks; ceiling rose fallen exposing live electrical contacts; no bolt on side gate (safe for dog). no hanging facility in second bedroom for clothing. Should such a property have a fire extinguisher / fire blanket etc? (missing). Smoke alarm only in kitchen. No CO alarm.
