Oakleigh View is a light and bright contemporary cottage offering ground floor accommodation, settled in the rural village of Payhembury in idyllic East Devon countryside.

Renovated to a high standard and enjoying a peaceful countryside setting in the grounds of the owners' home, the cottage offers comfortable ground floor accommodation, and peace of mind when holidaying with those less mobile.

Oakleigh View makes a perfect base for a staycation for four in Devon. Once inside, you will find a spacious open plan living space with cosy wood burning stove. All the furnishings have been carefully chosen with your comfort and relaxation in mind. Refuel in the well-equipped kitchen and dining area and, in warmer months, make the most of your peaceful countryside setting and venture out onto the terrace and enclosed garden for an al fresco barbecue. With WiFi, under floor heating, two TVs and parking for two cars, there is no need to miss out on your home comforts here - this gorgeous cottage will charm you from the beginning to the end of your stay.

There are two bedrooms, one with a sumptuous king-size bed, and the other with two 3' zip and link beds (can be configured as twins or a superking). Each are serviced by an en suite contemporary shower room.

The spacious light and airy open plan ground floor living area is a very sociable space with doors opening out onto a terrace, with outdoor furniture and a charcoal barbecue – perfect for outdoor dining.
Short and midweek breaks are available, with a minimum stay of 2 nights.
Whatever time of year you book, there is always plenty of wildlife to see and lovely countryside to explore from your doorstep.
The ideal setting for Autumn and Winter breaks, a New Year gathering or Christmas morning. From country walks to Christmas markets, the outdoors can be enjoyed at the most unexpected times. The house is warm and cosy with central heating, a wood burning stove and comfortable beds.
A tranquil, peaceful location, yet just six miles from the market town of Honiton with a range of shops, pubs and eating places.
The well-known stretch of Jurassic coastline is a short drive where resorts such as Sidmouth, Branscombe, Beer, Axmouth, Lyme Regis and Charmouth are found and some of the best walks on the lovely South West Coastline.
A nearby pub, the Six Bells Inn (0.7 miles, 14 minutes’ walk), sells good food, and there are a number of excellent pub/restaurants in other villages nearby.
