An open plan living area featuring a Smart TV, leading into a fully equipped kitchen with washing machine/tumble dryer, dishwasher and fridge freezer. Ranksborough Hall itself was built in 1893 for Lord Ranksborough who was equerry to Queen Victoria. Rutland is England’s smallest and arguably prettiest county, and certainly lives up to its motto, Multum in Parvo (much in little). This rural escape is the perfect place to spend time enjoying the great outdoors. Looking for things to do in Rutland? Take to the water, and there’s plenty of it, nature reserves bursting with birdlife, and country houses. Tiny Rutland makes a big splash. Lap the vast reservoir by foot or bicycle and take in lush, green nature reserves where elegant ospreys with giant wingspans dive for their fish suppers. High teas are served up at this central county’s stately homes while centuries-old country inns pull cask ale pints. Visit castle halls harking back to Norman times. For a relatively small county Rutland has its fair share of golf courses. Get ready to tee-up with views across Rutland Water. The quaint towns of Oakham and Uppingham offer a range of individual boutiques. Uppingham is famed for its antiques and galleries, whilst the county town of Oakham offers a great mix of quality high street and independent shops – not to mention a castle!.
