Excellent apartment with caveat

This is a typical European apartment which looks better inside than at the front door. Parking is convenient with a parking garage next door. We walked to most attractions with no problem. Here are our complaints: The door keys to the building and the apartment are difficult and confusing. Our workarounds are: 1. Be sure which key does which. 2. The building key has to be pulled back a millimeter or so to function 3. We only used the old fashioned apartment key because you can’t tell which lock is unlocked if you use both. Next the apartment is furnish with new ikea appliances and no manuals or usable markings. It took us a hour to master the washer. Once we were onto the ikea clue (doh) we went online to find manuals for similar stuff. One last trick is that the aluminum fry pan furnished won’t work with the induction cooktop, just displays a u symbol. We never figured out the oven or dishwasher, we leave that for others. Our hostess was responsive by phone and probably wonders why Americans don’t know how to use appliances.
