Upstairs bedroom
This room is in the beamed eaves (low beams) with twin beds which can also be a superking double, bedside cabinets, easy chair and canvas wardrobe. Small window level with the floor opens up with a view down into the gravelled area at the back of the barn.

ALL ABOUT THE OUTSIDE:

Rooster Barn is at the end of a private gravel drive and accessed through the wooden 7 bar gate with extra mesh backing to stop small dogs escaping. Park and shut the gate and you can safely let the dogs out into the enclosed garden.

Double doors from the living room open out onto a lovely south facing patio and a gravelled area. It is separated from but connected to the parking and large grass paddock area. The whole of the property is gated and well fenced around the perimeter with a combination of post and rail fencing with stock mesh (smaller at the bottom to stop very small dogs squeezing through), solid fence panels and a mix of fencing plus planting. At the lowest point it is approx 4ft. but solid.

Rooster Barn grounds are mature and include an attractive but robust planting of shrubs and hedge plants. The main garden is laid to lawn with plenty of space for your dogs to exercise in a safe and secure space.

Extra guests or visitors
There is an electric hook up point in the paddock/garden area and this can be rented for £15/day for caravans and campervans. Please specify this on the booking form.

Could not be any more dog welcoming!
What a gorgeous cottage! From the moment we arrived we loved it. We loved being able to park on the gravel in the garden and shut the gate - made getting the dogs out of the car SO much easier! And we knew that they would be safe in the garden - the description on the website is spot on. Inside is so charming and welcoming and easy to relax in. Loved the textured flooring - made it so much easier for our old boy to get around. The fire was wonderful - we almost wished it was colder so we could use it more! The kitchen was really, really well equipped - we even found a seafood eating kit!! Which is perfect as we discovered lots of places selling local fresh crab! When we did eat out there were so many dog friendly places nearby and we explored the beaches (loved Mundesley and Overstrand) and had two lovely walks in the grounds of Felbrigg Hall and Blickling Hall nearby. There was a lot of really useful information in the house, the digital guide that we were sent was really helpful too. Honestly we didn't want for anything. Even the welcome pack was well above what we expected with all sorts of goodies. Definitely will be coming back to this one and this fabulous part of the country. Don't think we have ever been anywhere SO truly dog welcoming!

A Week With The Roosters
What a lovely property this is. We felt at home from the moment we arrived, until we left. Well equipped with everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. The welcome pack was very generous. And the dogs appreciated their treats too.

Perfect Norfolk Christmas!
Christmas at Rooster Barn. ….. magical! This was our 3rd visit this year, yes we are hooked. The barn is just stunning, a beautiful conversion with loads of exposed timbers. Cosy open living/dining space with a double sided wood burner and comfortable seating arrangements. All creature comforts are provided and our dogs love the barn and garden. Short distance to the coast for seaside walks and a lovely village pub. Have already booked 3 stays for next year… can’t wait!

Home from Home
Our 3rd stay at Rooster Barn with our dogs, and they love the space and comfort as do we. The barn is beautifully and thoughtfully decorated, making it the most amazing cosy holiday home. The garden is a great space for essential zoomies and provides a marvellous evening environment for a glass of wine or two. Lunch/Dinner in the courtyard garden listening to birdsong ... idyllic to say the least. Happisburgh and the coast are a 15-minute drive away, Fellbrig Hall, Sheringham Park, Hillside Animal Rescue Centers and many more sites for touring around. A special mention for The Crown (Village Pub) for their amazing array of pies and mash concoctions, the Lighthouse Inn and last but certainly not least, The Fair Maiden Fish Shop in Happpisburgh. Kirsty runs a tight ship, and you can expect the most amazing fresh seafood! We will be back in December to celebrate Christmas at our favourite East Ruston Cottage.... can't wait.
