Londinium is a property management company providing serviced accommodation in central London. This property is one of the Londinium group of properties. Londinium is the name the Romans used for London. Please visit www.mylondinium.com to review the full list of similar properties.

Why they chose this property

You will be staying in one of the oldest parts of Europe. Centuries ago the Romans decided to build a city right where you are, the famous square mile. You can still see today the remains of the Roman city wall, the Forum and Basilica and the Amphitheatre and the Fort.
The modern City of London, although a major business centre with the headquarters of big corporates, is a huge tourist attraction. Some of the most famous places in England can be found in the City of London, and “Londinium One” is centrally located for all.
The street where the flat is located is called The Minories. The street gets its name from the Abbey of the Minoresses of St. Clare without Aldgate, where a "minoress" was a nun in the Second Order of the Order of Friars Minor.
Do not miss a visit to Tower Bridge - the iconic landmark and somewhat of "an engineering marvel" – and the Tower of London which are the closest attractions to “Londinium One”, literally eight minutes away. To get there take a right on exiting the building and walk down the Minories and in a few minutes, you'll be facing this monumental structure. Other famous places to visit include Temple Church, the Shard and Shad Thames.
Do not miss visiting St.Katherine’s Dock, next to the Tower Bridge. This is probably the most iconic marina in Europe, a very tranquil place in the heart of the City, with many restaurants and bars worth a visit. For example try the restaurant and pub in the middle of the Marina, called “Dicken’s Inn”.
If you wish to walk a bit further, I would recommend a drink (or more) at the Prospect of Whitby (one of the oldest pubs in London, try the fish and chips) and the “City of Ramsgate”. To get there you have to walk through the very colourful Wapping.
Another interesting walk is across the south bank of the river. Just cross Tower Bridge and turn right, following the river.
