Left us in the cold

We didn’t get to stay as when we turned up to the property there was already someone staying there. When I called the host he didn’t understand why and said he will call back which he didn’t so I call him back but no joy. I called VRBO and they said the booking hadn’t registered as the use a number of booking systems and I was basically told to find somewhere else they cannot help. Whilst on the phone with them the host actually cancelled the booking at their end. It was very cold and we were basically abandoned. I did get my money back which I was surprised at but that wasn’t the point. I will never book with them again
