Region: Famous for its choirs, stunning mountain ranges and beautiful valleys, this wonderful country has something for everyone. From Snowdonia in North Wales to the Brecon Beacons and the Pembrokeshire Coast in the South.

Town: In the spectacular Dovey valley, which is dominated by the magnificent Aran Mountains, in the southern region of Snowdonia National Park, there is a small rural community called Mallwyd that is surrounded by lovely scenery. The well-known Brigands Inn, a former coaching inn from the 15th century that now takes pride in its inviting ambiance and fine meals, is located in the village. Three further bars are nearby, and the Meirion Woollen Mill, which is available to visitors and is situated on the banks of the River Dovey, is also nearby. It is only 11 kilometres to the charming market town of Dolgellau, which is nestled next to one of Wales' most stunning mountains, Cader Idris. Its 17th Century bridges, church, and variety of bars and eating establishments provide a nice environment. Aberdovey, a charming seaside community with a harbour and lovely sandy beach, is 20 miles away and ideal for an adventurous day trip. Across much of Snowdonia, including the close-by Coed-y-Brenin Forest with its world-famous mountain bike paths, this area is a paradise for walking, climbing, mountain biking, and birdwatchers.
