About this property

Treathro Farm - Stunning coastal retreat

Recently converted barn on two storeys with modern amenities but a traditional feel. Ideal for those who love the outdoors with private access onto the coastal path and within easy driving distance of numerous beaches, the Presili hills and St Davids. Amazing views of farmland, the sea and Strumble Head lighthouse direct from the living room, which leads onto the private enclosed garden. Can be booked individually or with our sister let The Dairy (sleeps 4) for a multi generational holiday.

We are a working farm situated in a wonderful part of the Pembrokeshire National Park right on the coast. We have two recently converted barns on opposite sides of the farmyard, both with outstanding views of farmland and the coast from their large glass patio doors which lead onto individual small private enclosed gardens. Ideal for those who love the outdoors with private access onto the coastal path and within easy driving distance of numerous beaches, the Presili hills and St Davids. Due to an increasing number of guests with electric/hybrid cars we have recently installed a 22Kw EV charger in the farmyard for use by both cottages.

The Granary is a spacious upside down 'home from home' conversion with modern amenities but a traditional feel. There are amazing views of farmland, the sea and Strumble Head lighthouse direct from the living room, which leads onto the private enclosed garden. Can be booked individually or with our sister let The Dairy (sleeps 4) if you are interested in a smaller pet friendly property on one level.

With two bathrooms and two distinct living areas it is possible for everyone to have their own space. It lies on the opposite side of the farmyard from The Dairy.

There is a large entrance hall with oak stairs leading up to the kitchen/dining area and an understairs cupboard with the washing machine/dryer in it.

The whole of the downstairs has underfloor heating. The 3 bedrooms are all downstairs, have TVs, wardrobes and room darkening blinds. The largest bedroom (super king or twin beds on request) has an en suite bathroom (bath with shower over) which also has another door into the hall corridor - this can be locked at all times if necessary . The remaining 2 double bedrooms share the shower room.

At the far end of The Granary is the large vaulted sitting room with woodburner and enormous patio window with views of the sea, farmland, and Strumble Head Lighthouse. Lovely comfortable leather sofa and chairs to enjoy the view. TV, board games and books available when tired from all the walking! The sliding patio doors lead onto the paved area in the enclosed garden, where there is garden furniture and a BBQ for those warm sunny evenings.

The whole of the upstairs is taken up with the large light and airy kitchen/dining/living area. The kitchen is well equipped with a dishwasher, fridge/freezer, microwave and coffee maker etc..... The dining table is extendable for that little bit of extra space. There is a very comfortable leather corner settee with a coffee table for watching TV whilst waiting for food to cook.

Other things to note
We are very rural and have no mobile signal within and around the immediate vicinity of the property. It is possible to use your mobile by enabling Wifi calling on your phone or using What's App. The WiFi is adequate but not fast and is usually fine for day to day use ie using the internet, emailing, and on demand TV but not for gaming or anything similar.

The nearest beach is a 10 minute drive away, although the coastal path runs through the farm and is a 5 minute walk.

A Welcome Pack contains a small variety of teas, coffee pods, home made bara brith, welsh cakes, milk from a local farm and our own farm eggs.

A travel cot, highchair and fireguard can be supplied on request.
