The Gardens and surrounding area
- The house sits in the centre of the village of Saint-Medard-de-Guizieres and yet it enjoys total privacy.
- Entering through imposing gates, the house is surrounded by walls, hedges, lush gardens and outdoor seating in front and rear.
- An outdoor summer house is perfect for BBQ's or dinners on balmy summer evenings.

The Town
- Good restaurants, pizzerias, supermarkets and a Gault Millau rated Bakery are all within walking distance, as well as a butcher and local wine maker that offers tastings. This is in addition to the abundance of celebrated vineyards and restaurants, many of which are just a short drive away (under 20 mins).
- The immediate surroundings offer many leisure hiking trails, as well as the chance to take in some great views and get closer to the French countryside.
- The Manoir provides a lot of facilities to families with or without children. It is close to an array of facilities, including a village swimming pool that is open in the summer months, golf, horse-riding, a boulodrome, kids play parks and waterparks.
- Saint-Médard-de-Guizières has its own village market on a Friday morning and large renowned markets can be found in the neighboring town of Saint-Seurin-sur-l''lsle and Libourne.

Getting there and travel connections
- Saint-Médard-de-Guizière's station has rail connections to Bordeaux (40 mins), Périgueux in the Dordogne (40 mins), Brive-la-Gaillarde and Limoges.
- Libourne is also accessible by train in 15-minutes and by the free bus connection that operates throughout the region (bus stops are just a few minutes walk from the house).
- Paris is 2.5 hours by train.
- Arcachon bay with its famous beach, oysters and the highest dune in Europe is also 2 hours by train or car.
