About this property
The Old Rectory Lodge sleeps 4 guests in 2 bedrooms
The Old Rectory Lodge is an attractive Portland stone and thatched cottage, sitting in the grounds of an elegant former rectory in the hamlet of Chilfrome. Sitting next to the church, surrounded by stunning countryside, and close to the Frome Valley Trail for walking and cycling on the popular Wessex Way.
The cottage has wide doors, and all ground floor accommodation with level access, and has been carefully and beautifully furnished with antique furniture, and floral fabrics creating a warm and relaxing atmosphere. The generous sitting room is the ideal space in which to relax and unwind, with well-stocked bookshelves, a television, and a feature stone fireplace with gas fire. French doors open on to a sunny garden terrace with a choice of garden furniture, where you can relax and enjoy the pretty views over the extensive lawned garden, or wander to the tennis court for a spot of exercise. There is a large family dining kitchen with table and chairs, island, generous counter top and storage space, a large fridge, dishwasher and Everhot cooker. The separate utility and laundry room houses the washing machine, freezer and a pantry.
There are two well-appointed bedrooms, the first being a super-king size with doors to the garden, and a separate snug and dressing room. The second bedroom has twin single beds, and there is a family shower room, and finally a separate cloakroom off a wide hallway to complete the generous accommodation.
The nearby village of Cattistock with its village pub, stores and post office, and cricket pitch is just a short pleasant stroll away. Well positioned to explore the Dorset coast being equidistant between Lyme Regis & Lulworth, and the outstanding countryside all around, a stay at this special property offers numerous possibilities for a memorable Dorset holiday.
