A stylish, contemporary apartment, set on the hillside with beautiful views out over the Kvarner Gulf. This apartment is in a quiet location, but only a short drive from the city of Rijeka. It is a wonderful base for friends or family who want to enjoy Croatia’s beautiful beaches and discover some of its fascinating history.

The apartment, which sleeps 4 people, is designed for indoor and outdoor living, with large glass doors leading from the living room to a sunroom, which is furnished with a sofa and wrap-around windows. Beyond this is a spacious balcony with an outside dining table. Guests can enjoy the panoramic sea views at any time of year. The main living area has a corner sofa, a flat-screen TV and a wooden dining table. The open-plan kitchen leads off the dining area. The kitchen is equipped with a cooker hob, oven, microwave, dishwasher, fridge, freezer and kettle.

The balcony makes a relaxing and stylish living area, furnished with deckchairs and a large sun shade, plus another dining table, where guests can enjoy meals al fresco. Steps lead down from the balcony to a private garden with olive trees, a BBQ and an outdoor dining area.

Location
Set on a quiet side road, on the hillside, this apartment enjoys a sunny position and fantastic views. The area is known for its beautiful beaches and clear waters. Kostrena Beach is 8 minutes away and Zurkovo Beach is just 6 minutes. If you can tear yourself away from the sea, there is a lot of history to explore.

Kraljevica (15 minutes) has not one, but two, castles as well as the Adriatic’s oldest shipbuilding yard and several excellent restaurants and cafés.

The city of Rijeka (15 mins) also makes a fascinating day out. Croatia’s main port has plenty of interesting places to visit. For self-catering the market (Monday to Saturday mornings) is worth a trip. Here you can find local produce to prepare and enjoy back at home.

Rijeka International Airport is just 25 minutes away, over the Krk bridge.
