I give this a strong 4.5/5

So I loved the house however it had everything I wanted or needed with a couple of things that could be improved. For the most part the house was clean but there are some things that could be improved - but i would certainly stay again. The beds were excellent, a lot of space, the backyard is great, well decorated, and I highly recommend this place .

BEWARE-horrible place

Not as advertised. Left a day early, leaving he house cleaner and in much better shape than when we arrived. Couldn’t stand it any longer. No Gazebo, NO High end appliances. Terrible lies in description of the property. We use VRBO all the time as we travel a lot. This property is by far the most disappointing places we have ever stayed. And it’s really a We tried contacting owner as informed and some reviewers stated great communication which wasn’t our experience. We arrived about 45 min early and wanted to know if we could get in. No response on that at all from text and Msg thru VRBO app and no book or folder with necessary instructions or information about the property even tho I asked about this as well. Didn’t hear back until hours later. Entering the property we noticed a huge amount of mail scattered on the floor by the front door which would not have been there if someone had cleaned recently. Dead bugs, ants and spiders everywhere on the floors, bath tub which also looked extremely dirty. We cleaned a lot of that ourselves. After re-reading reviews for this place we noticed the last one was from Mar 2022 and it looked like the place had NOT been cleaned since then. We had family things to attend so didn’t have much time or choice to look for a different place that quickly. It may have a quiet neighborhood but don’t be fooled - this is one block away from an extremely sketchy, scary, run down neighborhood. We’ve never left a VRBO rental early but this place made my skin crawl. We didn’t use the kitchen as dishes and everything I touched was sticky; dusty or dirty with spots etc so we didn’t cook or even bring any food in. Stove top is extremely filthy. We only used the master bedroom and the mattress is so badly deformed and sunken in that they try to hide it with a horrible foam topper. Needless to say we hardly slept. The carpets are so dirty and stained that my white socks turned black so had to make sure I always had shoes on. Almost all lighting had some bulbs burnt out. TV’s are old and didn’t work as they should. Even if we wanted to use the patio it was in horrible shape. Windows and windowsills were filthy. No way was the place cleaned recently because no cleaning person or crew would have left it in this condition. I have pictures to prove all of this. Find another place; this should not be allowed to be rented in this condition.

Beautiful home!

This was a wonderful home close to downtown. We loved relaxing in the spacious living room, playing games around the kitchen table, and roasting s’mores around a fire in the backyard!

Excellent Communication from owner

We were in town looking for a more permanent home because we relocated to Houston from Dallas. We did a long term stay (1 month) and Erin was very responsive to all of our needs. The home is close to downtown but also tucked away in a quiet neighborhood. The yard was perfect for our dog to run and the neighborhood nice for walking him. Would recommend this home for a comfortable stay.
