About this property
The Barn, a cosy cottage in rural Cornwall.
This property is a tastefully converted stone and cob barn and is in the perfect location for both couples and families to relax or explore Cornwall.
Located on our family smallholding in rural countryside it has peace and quiet, yet is ideally placed to visit both the North & South Cornish coasts, the world famous Eden Project and many pretty villages and harbours.
We welcome dogs, for a small fixed price.
The space
The property is split into two levels.
Downstairs has a fully equipped kitchen with a welcoming oil fired Rayburn and an electric hob. The twin room and bathroom (with shower over bath) are also downstairs.
Upstairs is a light and airy living area with comfy sofas and a log burner. The barn also has central heating. The main double bedroom is off the lounge.
Guest access
Guests are able to park their car outside the property, there is plenty of space for their bikes if needed, also a utility area with a washing machine.
There is an orchard garden with a washing line if needed.
Interaction with guests
We live in the farmhouse alongside the barn so we are usually around to give help with directions, suggested local sights and any general assistance.
There is information, maps and leaflets in the property to assist our guests.
We also have a small number of games to amuse.
Guest access
There is a public footpath nearby, ideal for a morning/evening walk. Be aware that it leads through fields of sheep, so please keep dogs on a lead.
Other things to note
Our cancellation policy is Moderate as we want guests to feel they have flexibility in their booking, however we do ask that you consider whether to purchase travel insurance to cover Covid-19 and the potential need to cancel last minute.
We welcome dogs, but do charge an additional fee of £15 for the first dog, and £5 per additional dog. This fee is per stay (NOT per night). We allow up to 3 dogs in the cottage.
We provide a blanket and a towel for dogs and ask that they are not allowed on sofas or bedding without the protective blanket.
We are a working small-holding and ask that you use a lead when utilising the public footpaths through our fields.
Please don't leave dogs unattended in the cottage.
