The cottage is very cute and well presented. Everything worked as it should and the location is great for exploring the surrounding countryside and Cirencester which is a 20 min walk from the cottage.
We had a lovely stay at Barn Way with the old building well refurbished with new kitchen and bathroom. Bedrooms were comfy and the old flagstone floor of the lounge was great. Nice little backyard with outdoor setting for a drink or meal, Very quiet area although there were 5 houses together in the overall building. Short stroll to Plough Inn and its beer garden, idea for the English summer weather we experienced. Only 15 minutes walk to heart of city which was terrific to explore. Also, a good base to visit the lovely towns of the Cotswolds. Would recommend for 2-3 people.
Lovely Cottage as our starting point for walks and sideseeing trips in the Cotswolds
We had the chance to stay in this beautiful house for 2 weeks in June/July 2024. The house was very clean and well equipped with everything you need for your stay. Around Stratton there are different supermarkets to get everthing you need. Check-in and check-out was very easy and the owner of the house was always available via mobile for questions or recommendations.
The house offers a nice small garden with a relaxing area and a place to sit near the kitchen and is close to the fields where we could spend a lot time with our dog. On warm days the dog also enjoyed the cold temperature in the groundfloor of the house. Starting from Stratton by car you have the chance to see many interesting places and lovely cities within 1 hour to drive. Therefore it is a perfect place to start small trips in the beautiful Cotswolds area or to just enjoy your free time in a calm and relaxing surrounding.
