AREA
The municipality of São Jorge, located on the enchanting island of Madeira, is a region that offers a unique blend of natural beauty, history and local traditions. This town is about a 45-minute drive from the centre of Funchal.
There are many tourist attractions in this area, but one of the most striking attractions, the Ponta de São Jorge lighthouse, offers breathtaking views of the Atlantic Ocean. The imposing cliffs and unique rock formations create a picturesque setting for nature lovers. The Church of St George is a religious building of cultural interest with charming architecture. Visitors can explore the interior of the church, admire the sacred art and learn about the region's rich cultural heritage. Another point of interest is the Núcleo Primitivo da freguesia de São Jorge, in Calhau de São Jorge, which houses the ruins of sugar cane mills built at the beginning of the island's settlement. The Vigia viewpoint and Levada do Rei are also two places to visit during your stay at Casa da Fajã Alta.

OTHER OBSERVATIONS
- According to Portuguese law, all guests are required to present a valid ID. (passport or identity card).
- Check-in hour must be scheduled in advance. If it is not scheduled within a maximum of 48 hours before, guests will be subject to the availability of our team.
- All bed linen and towels are provided. We can also put a baby cot, a high chair and a baby bath if needed, but you should request. There are a first aid kit, extinguishers and fire blanket in the property.

ATTENTION
We inform that a Municipal Tourist Ecotax will be charged for person staying overnight in the municipality of Santana.
All guests staying in tourist developments and / or accommodation establishments, aged 13 or over, will be charged 2,00€ per person/night, up to a maximum 7 nigths stay/ 14€ per person. Close to your arrival, you will receive the link to pay this fee.
