About this property

Hardy’s View, beautiful property set in a walled garden with 3 acres of land

The property is nestled in the hamlet of Stinsford, merely 1.5 miles of the county town. Immerse in the beauty of this location, as picturesque riverside walks hug the charming River Frome, offering an idyllic opportunity for avid walkers to relish the countryside on the doorstep. Amidst this enchanting setting, is Kingston Maurward, a Georgian Mansion. Today, it stands as an agricultural education centre, welcoming visitors to explore its grounds frequently accessible to the public. Echoing with literary acclaim, Stinsford itself boasts a unique mention in the esteemed literary historian, Nikolaus Pevsner's 'The Buildings of England' series, owing to Stinsford House and the timeless 13th-century Church of St Michael, which holds the final resting place of the renowned novelist Thomas Hardy's heart. Dorchester is a vibrant town with its traditional weekly market and a number of chain and independent stores, plus a wide range of services. There is also a lively music scene, two cinemas, an arts centre, and a range of markets, festivals, and clubs

The property is excellent for people who are seeking some quite and would like to stay in short driving distance from Weymouth/Dorchester and want to enjoy what the area has to offer. The garden surrounding the property is gorgeous and a friendly doggo might welcome you if you are lucky enough. Karen made sure to provide in time all the details required on how to find and access the property, along with the parking space. It was probably the most recently renovated/ well kept and clean property i have had the chance to stay in the last 3 years. I will definitely keep an eye on it for my future visits at jurrasic coast.
