About this property
Harbour Delights - Whitby
Occupying a fantastic central location, this bright and cheerful apartment is ideally situated for couples and smaller families enjoying a relaxing break in the popular North Yorkshire resort of Whitby. The property sits opposite the harbour along the River Esk, home of the stunning life-size replica of Captain Cook’s HMS Endeavour. Pannett Park is just a 0.25-mile stroll to the west, with a wealth of great places to eat and drink along the way. Exploring the western half of Whitby, landmarks and attractions include the Dracula Experience, Whitby Pavilion and the impressive Whalebone Arch, as well as the town’s glorious beach. Crossing the river, the eastern part of Whitby features the 199 Steps and the ruins of Whitby Abbey. Heading south, you can spend an idyllic day at picturesque Robin Hood’s Bay (6 miles) or travel inland to explore the majestic North York Moors (train station within 400 metres).
The property can be reached via a side ginnel with a shared entrance hall offering a choice of a staircase or lift to take you up to the second floor. An open galleried walkway then leads to this delightful apartment. Inside, the long hallway has ample space for hanging coats and leaving shoes before you head through to the bright and welcoming open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. This fresh and colourful room provides an ideal space for you all to unwind in after a fabulous day out. Heading over to the large windows, you will have a wonderful view towards the harbour and the replica of the Endeavour. The cosy lounge has plenty of seating and a Smart TV, and backs onto a sociable dining area perfect for family get-togethers. The fully equipped and thoughtfully arranged kitchen is to the rear of the room. Exploring this fresh and inviting retreat further, you will find a light and refreshing family bathroom alongside two cheerful, tastefully decorated bedrooms: you will have a choice between a relaxing twin room and a charming double.
Although the apartment has no outside space of its own, it is ideally situated for walks along the river and to the harbour, with an array of eateries and pubs close by.
