Absolutely Outraged
Where did I begin. After booking (paid in full) we planned to arrive a couple of hours early since we were traveling during a holiday weekend. I sent a message the day before the host asking was there an option for early check-in…no response. The morning of the stay, I messaged again…no response; called the number listed…no response. We decided to just go at the check-in time since there was no response. We decided to drive to the address since we were traveling out-of-state and had an hour to spare. We arrived at the property where we saw a car. Decided to inquire only to receive a call from the host saying we must cancel. We then knocked on the door because we were utterly shocked. A lady came to the door saying we had the wrong property and we had made a mistake. Long story short we had to contact law enforcement (very helpful) but remained stuck riding around going to fill the time while VRBO tried to rectify the situation. We ended up booking a hotel and hoping and praying VRBO will keep their word and refund us the money. This was so frustrating that I have to make an account of this incident on social media.
