Why Sue Eaves at Halcyon Leisure chose Masquières
Vidalot has become a leading property in our portfolio of over 70 properties: Situated at the end of its own road, and overlooking a peaceful valley the atmosphere there is always peaceful and gentle as it gently changes through the day. The nights and early morning are especially wonderful with the sounds from the nearby woods often the only sounds and the light of the moon and stars the only light other than that from within the house.
What makes this Farmhouse unique
We have used Vidalot as a base while we have been working in the area, and it offers a great combination of space and peace to allow guests to fully relax. The Terrace and the pool area capture sun all day, and the mornings, evenings and nights are truly special if you are getting away from an urban environment for a break

Average rating for Sue Eaves at Halcyon Leisure's other properties:4.7/5
Vidalot enjoys a very private rural location, surrounded by woods and fields and has a southerly aspect overlooking a spectacular valley.
The property takes on a character of its own at all times of the day - the amazing birdsong in the morning, the bible black starlit sky at night and the peace of the evening as the sun sinks behind the hill to the west.
Vidalot has a special history, having been a hideout for the Resistance in World War II, and British paratroops were bought to the house as the first stop on their various missions. This alone demonstrates how peaceful and private the location was.... and remains to this day.
There are many attractive and active towns and villages nearby including Tournon d'Agenais and Montaigu de Quercy: There is also a market somewhere nearby every day for guests to get the freshest and most delicious local produce.

Sitting very near the boundary of Lot and Lot-et-Garonne, there is something is here to suit all the family, including: fishing, tennis, walking, golf, cycling, horse-riding, lake swimming, windsurfing, canoeing and much, much, more. Normally the area has a moderate climate with long Spring and Autumn seasons and Summers that can be very hot.
