Located in Chiusdino, this 2-bedroom cottage is perfect for a vacation in the rural countryside. It is perfect for a family of 4 to stay enjoying the air conditioning, heating, terrace, and barbecue.

The place is in an ideal location to enjoy day trips to Siena at 30 km, Abbazia di San Galgano, and the towns of San Gimigniano, Volterra, and Castello di Montereggioni. The city of Florence can also be reached in a short drive. You can have fun on the beaches of the Tyrrhenian coast. There is a supermarket at 200 m and restaurants at 3 km.

The renovated cottage is freestanding and built of natural stone and old bricks. With typical Tuscan furnishings, it has a pleasant ambiance with air conditioning and heating. You can enjoy the barbecue from the terrace and stay till night in the furnished and illuminated garden. The living-dining room has a cozy fireplace. parking and space for 2 pets are arranged.

De aankomst ging goed, mooie omgeving, ruime ruimte om het huis, de eigenares was aanwezig op het afgesproken tijdstip. De accommodatie was schoon. Mindere aspecten waren dat de gootsteen niet goed doorliep, en dat er wel horren waren maar dat daar zo veel gaten in zaten dat we binnen (en buiten ook) erg veel last van muggen hebben gehad. We vonden het opvallend dat we werden gemaild door de eigenares met de vraag om een kopie van een ID. Dat had echt van tevoren moeten gebeuren! Dit voelde aanvankelijk niet erg goed; ID-fraude ligt zo op de loer, en wij hadden dit nog nooit meegemaakt. Het is beter dan van tevoren te regelen vanuit Topic Travel/Belvilla zelf.

Heel vriendelijk ontvangen door de eigenaar en zijn kleindochter. Heel grote en mooie omheinde tuin. Helaas bleken er wat gaten in de omheining te zijn, waardoor onze hond was ontsnapt en we hem heel de vakantie aan de lijn moesten houden. Het huis zelf is heel rustig gelegen, net buiten het dorpje. Ideaal gelegen om heel veel steden van het mooie Toscane te gaan bezoeken (Siena, Montepulciano, Montalcino, San Gimignano, Volterra,...). Zoals vorige commentaar aangaf, werd er inderdaad gebouwd op het perceel naast ons, maar heel veel last hadden wij hier niet van.

Op het perceel naast het onze werd iets gebouwd en dat gebeurde van 06.30 tot heel laat in de avond en nacht. Enkele keren zelfs tot 01.00 uur in de nacht. Misschien dat het volgend jaar beter te vertoeven is daar maar door de voortdurende herrie werd onze rustvakanyie behoorlijk verpest. Het huis is prima maar niet voor kleine kinderen geschikt te veel open ruimtes waar kleintjes enkele meters diep kunnen vallen als je niet goed uitkijkt. De oude baas was allervriendelijkst maar het Engels van iedereen liet erg te wensen over zodat we elkaar niet begrepen. Bij het vermelden van de overlast werd er door de kleindochter laconiek op gereageerd waarbij we merkten dat er eerder over geklaagd was.
