Chicago wedding group
We had 14 of us in town for a wedding. The location can’t be beat - 1/2 block from Wrigley Field. Place was clean and stocked with bedding & towels. Back deck was perfect for hanging out and handled our group well. Renting garage was ideal - convenient & no city parking tickets! Definitely recommend this rental.
We booked this great place in Wrigleyville as a group of us wanted to catch a Cubs game. It met our needs perfectly. There were nine of us - and this house was set up perfectly for us to be comfortable. It has everything you need for bedding, cooking and linens. Great TV's and ping pong table as well! And it is literally steps from Wrigley Field.
I contacted Mike (the owner) a few times and he was very attentive and always responded immediately to answer my questions.
I can't wait to come back!
Great House - Steps from the Field
Mike was very responsive. The house was more than accommodating and our group had a great weekend in Wrigleyville.
Best Place To Stay in CHICAGO!!
Came for a Bachelor Party in the Windy City. The location is amazing! 3 minute walk to Wrigley and all that is around it. The house is huge with plenty of space and beds! We had a group of 11 guys and had room to spare. Not a shared property so we didn't disturb anyone! Mike is a gracious host who helped me with any questions very quickly. I've stayed in Chicago on 3 occasions and this was by far the best place I have stayed at and will stay at again.
Great place for 14 member family trip
We drove 2 cars 11 hours to get to the house in a safe and quiet neighborhood after buying some groceries at nearby Jewel-Osco. I was happy to pay the $35/night extra to use the garage in the back. It was accessed through the alley and garage code. We fit a Honda minivan and Pilot SUV perfectly. It was hard to find parking in front of the house which was a stone’s throw from Wrigley Field and lots of night life around.
There were 3 levels. The upper level had a beautiful master bedroom with Queen size bed surrounded by 2 rooms with bunk beds. We crammed 3 kids in each of those rooms since the lower bunk was almost a full side bed for 2.
The main level/entrance had a large flat screen TV with WiFi underneath which we had to reset due to a glitch at one point, and a pull out sofa bed. One person slept next to it on a large chair and ottoman. Another slept in a couple of chairs in the large front window area. The kitchen and cooking utensils were adequate but you may want to buy your own disposable eating utensils and plates like we did beforehand. There wasn’t enough silverware for all of us. The formal dining table was a large rectangular setting for 8 people. There was another smaller round table with smaller TV in the back of the level and I was impressed with the number of channels available on cable.
My wife and I slept in the room downstairs but there was another sofa bed in the den. The ping pong table was fun. We used the washer and dryer for the sheets and towels before we left.
2 showers were adequate and there was a small toilet/sink next to the kitchen.
The owner was very responsive with our needs and provided plenty of towels, sheets and blankets for all 14 of us.
We cooked breakfast and dinner but didn’t have time to use the Weber grill outside where there was a large deck/table with lots of chairs. The weather was great!
We bought the CityPass to do the Art Institute next to Millenial Park, the Science and Industry Museum, but many of us took the L nearby for $2.50 one way to near the Shedd Aquarium and Field Museum. Driving around was great except getting used to people honking in Chicago a millisecond after the light turns green but LakeShore Drive nearby was a big mess during rush hour. There are plenty of parking places in the city for $20-$30 a car. We broke even with round trip on the train by packing at least 7 in each vehicle.
Overall, we had a great and happy stay! Lots of nooks/crannie
Great Location. We would stay here again!
Roomy and had plenty of space to spread out if you have a bigger group.
