About this property

Bridge Creek Retreat is a 3+ bedroom, 4 bathroom contemporary with an additional stand alone studio apartment on a private wooded lot with a deep water pier on protected Bridge Creek of the Little Wicomico River. Relax by the stone fire pit or sit inside the large screened porch and enjoy wide water views in all directions. The large screen porch (12x30) stays relatively shaded most of the day, which is great for adults who want to watch the children play or fish from the pier. The porch also offers plenty of comfortable seating a table that will seat 4, two additional chairs, a swing glider plus a wicker couch and chairs set for relaxing. The sturdy pier has a boat lift and a fish cleaning station, and has plenty of room for fishing and crabbing. The property also includes a private 15 x 30 above ground pool. 6 kayaks are provided for guests to explore the many miles of shoreline on Bridge creek or take extended trips out on the Little Wicomico River. Broadband internet and Direct TV are provided free of charge.

Perfect vacation getaway

Wonderful home. Perfect size for a family. All of us loved the pool and the dock. Many hours spent fishing and crabbing. Will definitely return!

Perfect vacation spot!! This is our 3rd year at Bridge Creek Retreat. The family has enjoyed this vacation time together here each year. There have been upgrades each year which makes it even more enjoyable. Already booked for 2024 !!

Great place to stay !

The home is beautiful , we enjoyed the pool and kayaking! The adjacent apartment is a bonus. The home was clean, comfortable, and the kitchen was well stocked with cookware and appliances. Live d the screened in porch. We loved it here! Great, great home for vacation!

9th annual Framily gathering

Bridge Creek Retreat checked the long list for our 4 couples with 2 children that gather yearly at a new place to hang out, play games, and spend time together away from the stress of jobs. The pool was the highlight of the trip as it was well maintained. Runner up was the use of the crab pots and kayaks. There is plenty of space to spread out as well. Also, when they say the kitchen is well stocked...its well stocked! We have stayed in many other VRBOs and come to rely on bringing lots of our own kitchen utensils and we really didnt have to with this one. We were pleasantly surprised. ♥️ If we didn’t pick a new destination each year, we decided this would be a contender to revisit every year! Thank you for letting us visit your slice of heaven!

Feels like home

We’ve stayed at this beautiful home several times as a family and each time, we enjoy our stay more and more! The pool, the dock, the porch, the family size table for dining, games and puzzles, the comfy bedrooms and well-equipped home lend itself to an amazing retreat and vacation for our family! We just love everything about it!

We purchased this property in May 2017 to be close to family and because we love this area of Virginia. We spend summers on the shores of Lake Ontario in a cottage that has been in the family for 125 years and winters are spent on Bridge Creek.

Why they chose this property

We had been looking for property in this area for years and when Bridge Creek Retreat became available we fell in love. It has all the amenities we were looking for and then some. It is as peaceful a spot as you will find. We think you will fall in love too.

What makes this property unique

The property is at the end of a long shared driveway and is secluded and quiet. Shopping, restaurants and many other attractions are very close by. Enjoy sunsets from the front porch, swimming in the private pool, kayaking on Bridge Creek and Little Wicomico River with access to the Chesapeake Bay. Great crabbing and fishing from the private pier and many varieties of birds are found in the surrounding area.
