About this property

Enjoy a comfortable and relaxing stay any time of year at this well-appointed 3-bedroom, 2-bath home ideally located between Silver Lake and Pentwater. Take in the sight and soothing sounds of beautiful Lake Michigan from the multi-level decks and balcony. Although not directly on the waterfront, stairway access to 700 ft. of private association beach is just 100 ft. away. The first floor has an open 2-story living room with full lakeside windows and wood-burning fireplace, a dining area with seating for 8 (plus additional side table for games, puzzles or extra seating), and a fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher. The spacious first-floor bedroom has a queen bed, deck access, walk-in closet, and is adjacent to a full bath with jetted tub. Upstairs is a second bedroom with a king bed and private balcony, and a third bedroom for 4 with bunk beds, a single bed and trundle. Also on the 2nd floor is a second full bath with tub and shower. We offer high-speed internet, wi-fi and a portable 32-inch Smart TV for streaming as well as a DVD player with DVDs, games, puzzles and books. There is plenty of outdoor seating for relaxing and dining on the decks, as well as a backyard fire pit with firewood and marshmallow skewers included! You will be comfortable year-round with central air, ceiling fans and central heat. Laundry facilities are available and bed linens and bath towels are provided. (Please bring your own beach towels).

Explore the surrounding area -- you are just a short drive from charming Pentwater with its boutique shops, art galleries and outdoor dining. A few miles in the other direction takes you to the sand dunes and recreational opportunities of Silver Lake, or Little Sable Point and its iconic lighthouse. Head east to historic Hart and enjoy the 22-mile Hart-Montague bike trail. In this rich agricultural area, you can enjoy locally grown fresh produce and sip local wines. Take the family to a petting zoo and a working dairy farm with the best ice cream you've ever tasted! Ask us about our favorite places to visit.
Fall brings beautiful colors and dramatic Lake Michigan sunsets! It's a winter wonderland as well, with abundant snowfall and nearby cross-country and snowshoe trails.

Short family getaway

We stayed here with 3 teens and 2 grandparents as a family trip after high school graduation. The kids have never been on Lake Michigan as we have lived in Georgia the past 10 years. The sunsets were beautiful and we enjoyed just sitting on the beach in the provided chairs every night. The bedrooms were adequate for all of us. We have a friend that runs a campground in the area so he helped us with picking out what to do. Highly recommend the Mac Woods tour, going up in the lighthouse, and walking out on the pier in Ludington. However, what everyone needs to know who are traveling with senior citizens that have any type of disability, the shower is available on the second floor ONLY. There is a master bedroom and bath on the main floor which we had our inlaws use, but we did not realize that it ONLY has a garden tub without any type of wand attachnents. My poor mother in law with recent total knee replacements could not climb the stairs to get to the shower, so she got in the garden tub to bathe and almost could not get out!! There are no hand rails in the tub and is there isn't even a hand detachable sprayer that could be used to wash hair over the side. Just by putting up a curtain it could close off the tub and one could use a hand sprayer. Both my inlaws had to opt to sink /washcloth bathe for the rest of the trip which is just awful for them. I hope this helps anyone else traveling with older adults that are unable to climb stairs.

Mears Vacation

Our family really enjoyed our time in this rental. It was clean and well stocked. It was a little further away from Ludington than we usually stay, but we were hooked by the accessibility of the beach and other attractions, such as the dune ride and the indoor water park on a rainy day. Another stay here in the future is possible depending on how many people are in our party.

Lake Michigan

The five of us adults fit comfortably in this beautiful house. The house was well stocked and the location was amazing. I especially loved all the little areas to relax.

Wonderful spot

We had a great time. The home was perfect for our family. It was impeccably clean and had plenty of room for all of us to relax. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything needed to be able to stay in a cook a meal. There were chairs to use at the beach, which was wonderful. Connie and Rick left great instructions and recommendation for their visitors and were responsive when questions arose.

Our family has spent summer vacations in this beautiful area for over 30 years and it holds a special place in our hearts. Every summer, as we left the city with our overloaded van, we couldn't wait to get to Lake Michigan and leave the daily grind behind. It was a week or so of fun and relaxation at our favorite beaches in an area that offers an abundance of family activities and simple pleasures. All too soon, it was time to go home and dream about next year. Now that we are new property-owners here, we have discovered the year-round beauty of this place and we look forward to sharing that experience with you!
