The resort’s captivating setting encompasses 5 luxury hotels. Explore the alabaster-white sandy beaches, swim in crystalline waters, and indulge at over 20 world-class restaurants and bars. The numerous refreshing pools are among the largest in Mexico. The enormous main pool area features a myriad of interconnected pools, dotted with vibrant Mayan sculptures and other water features as well as swim up bars and palapas. The Mayan Sanctuary Pool has an exotic feel being protected by a ring of palapas, a tight grove of palm trees and a lush island in the center. The Grand Mayan Infinity Pool has a sand entrance with beautiful views of the lake. More pools are located throughout the property. The gorgeous pool and lounge area at The Beach Club is available exclusively to Grand Luxxe and Grand Bliss guests. A large water park opened in 2019 which includes a lazy river, wave pool and numerous water slides. Fun for everyone.
Challenge yourself on the 18-hole Jack Nicklaus designed golf course or the lighted tennis courts. Relax at spectacular pools or enjoy a massage under a palm umbrella.
Activities include ping pong tournaments, poolside dance classes, nature walks, guacamole and margarita-making classes, Spanish lessons, Black Jack and Texas Hold’em tournaments and karaoke to name a few. There are also 3 sanctuaries on the property for flamingos, crocodiles, and sea turtles.
The Kid’s Club offers complementary supervised daily programs for children of all ages.
Shopping is available in the Jade Shopping Plaza for sundries, groceries, liquor, souveniers, clothes, jewelry, and luxury items. A state-of-the-art gym keeps you in shape and offers a variety of classes and personal trainers while the Brio Spa offers a relaxing massage or a hydrating body treatment with sea salts and coconut gel for a fee.
There is so much to do, there is no need to leave the resort. This is the first resort in Mexico to house a permanent Cirque de Soleil show, Joya! There is fantastic entertainment weekly at the Beach Club, Havana Moon and Del Lago. Be sure to check out the popular Fiesta Mexicana dinner show.
Because the property is over 1,000 acres in size, there is ample opportunity to take in the lush jungle vegetation by walking or jogging along the maze of wooden boardwalks. If walking doesn’t appeal to you, shuttles run regularly between resort buildings as well as to the many restaurants and bars.

This exceptionally spacious unit is tastefully decorated in a blend of modern and Mayan-inspired décor. The kitchen is complete with a blender to prepare your favorite margarita, stovetop, microwave oven, fridge, coffee maker, cookware and dishes. The well laid out living area has a dining table, 2 sleeper sofas and flat screen TV with full length sliding glass doors leading to a very spacious balcony where you can relax on the lavish lounge furniture or in your very own private plunge pool. The large bedroom has a king size bed and a sleeper sofa and ample desk and drawer space. The gorgeous marble bathroom is accessible from both the living room and bedroom and has a double vanity, water closet, and separate walk-in rain shower and jetted soaker tub. The bedroom also accesses the balcony directly. Laundry facilities are available in each building.
Location
Vidanta Riviera Maya is located on the beautiful shores of the Caribbean Sea 35 minutes from the Cancun airport. Prior to your arrival, you can arrange for the free shuttle to take you to the resort. Cancun is a short 45-minute drive and Playa del Carmen is only 15 minutes away where you can catch a ferry to beautiful Cozumel. Nearby are many adventure opportunities like zipline tours, swimming with dolphins, rafting down underground caves and exploring the ancient Mayan ruins of Tulum, Coba and Chechen Itza.
What to Expect
Once booked, you will receive confirmation from the resort (7 – 10 business days after booking). A final Arrival Confirmation with your reservation number will be sent 2 weeks prior to your check-in date which you will present to the front desk. The Resort requires ID and passport that matches the name on the confirmation and a major credit card. An authourization will be placed on the credit card at check-in for incidentals. A 3% mandatory lodging tax is charged at check-out.
While at the property, you may be asked to attend a tour on the benefits of owning a vacation plan with this resort. While you are not obliged to attend the tour, the resort offers some very nice incentives to do so.
If you must cancel your reservation, 100% is refunded if canceled at least 30 days before your arrival date. Contact owner directly to request a cancellation.
