What makes this Apartment unique
We live in the building and always available please treat our places kindly with the same respect you treat yours, leave the apt as you found it. Honesty policy if something breaks or for any damage. Thank you!
100% refund if cancelled at least 60 days before arrival date.
Great location in a fun portion of Manhattan. The property is as advertised, well appointed and comfortable. The only negative was that the mattress was quite uncomfortable.
Restaurants and public transportation were easily available and we felt very safe. We will definitely use this property again upon our return.
Well located and comfy: A good value!
This is a super quiet walk-up unit on the third floor at the back of the building. It looks out over the back patios, high enough for privacy and to see an unobstructed view of a gorgeous tree, still leafless when we were there in March. It's in a vintage building, and spaces are small, but efficient. The toilet has it's own little room separate from the shower/sink. The queen bed is comfy and so is the sofa. There is a bookcase with an Eyewitness 10 Best NYC, which I used and appreciated. The two drawers under the TV hold lots of useful things, like an extension cord, which I needed to be able to use the provided hair dryer in front of the full length mirror; there is no plug in the bathroom. The plumbing was done by a dyslexic plumber: The hot and cold are reversed, most notably in the shower. If you turn on the usual "hot" left knob, it will not get hot. Turn on the right, and bingo: Hot water quite soon. The kitchen is equipped very well and we were able to buy everything we needed to make our breakfasts at a couple of nearby small grocers and from the produce stand across the street. The Orion diner on the corner of 23rd and 2nd has tasty food; we had lunch there before going to the airport. Subway lines are located south and east of the unit, a brisk walk will take 8-10 minutes. Nice little place to call home for a few days. We would definitely stay here again.
Hey Janet! thank you! Liz
Owner very responsive.
Owner very responsive. Apartment was old, but that’s what you expect in a lot of apartments in NYC. We had hoped to have a sound barrier between the living room and the bedroom, but there was a opening at the top of the wall. The water closet was extremely small, only about 2 inches between the toilet seat in the wall on each side. it was clean and a good price.
Hey Lyn, thank you! Liz
I was happy to find a rental near the neighborhood where I spent alot of my life! Its a perfect walkable location with trains and buses nearby. Every type of food is also close by and can be delivered if you're a bit tired to go out. The water cooler in the apartment is a big bonus! Having a seperate toilet and shower room is awesome. The apartment is a typical old skool NYC apartment so its a bit dry and hot in the winter but you can just crack the window. There is also a ceiling fan in the bedroom which is helpful. They also have movies channels which was nice to have at the end of the day to curl up on the cozy couch and chill out. Its a 2 floor walk up with typical old NYC stairs so try not to bring too heavy luggage unless you are use to that. Liz was always reachable throught out this rental process and very helpful and kind. My daughter and I had a fantastic trip back home and look forward to coming again! The apartment was very clean, although I forgot to mention to Liz , Id reccomend getting new pillows with allergen covers. It would be nice if there was a lugage stand in the bedroom and a small table in the shower room for toiletries. For breakfast we always love FRIEND OF A FARMER on Irving Place in Grammercy Park. Bare Burger up the street around 35th I think is a great Organic burger place and they Deliver! Again, we are walkers so we loved walking to see the tree in Rockefeller Plaza , walking to the HIghline in Chelsea and Canal Street Market in China town, you must check that out! It was also nice to take my daughter to her old park to play , Madison Square Park which is just a few minute walk and also has a Shake Shack in the park.We both reccomend this apartment for a real NYC experience. Thank you again Liz!!! <3
Hey Nancy! Thank you it was great having you! Happy new year! :)
Great time girls weekend NYC
We had a wonderful time in NYC. Liz's apartment was perfect for our needs. Although small we appreciated the extra room Liz's apartment provided instead of hotel living. Location was good. The apartment was clean, well furnished and comfortable. Would definitely rent again. Thank you
Thank you LeeAnne! It was great having you! Liz
Great spot for a weekend in NYC!
Liz is wonderfully responsive and the place was perfect. Quiet for the pre- NYC marathon sleep and all I needed steps away. Clean and comfortable place and I’d highly recommend it!
