Wonderful spot for a family vacation
This was a great house for a multi-generational family vacation. First floor master suite was perfect for grandparents who find stairs challenging to navigate. Plenty of room upstairs for parents and children. Couch/TV room upstairs 3 outdoor porches offered spaces for folks to find some quiet time. Open floor plan Downstairs was wonderful for gathering and eating as a group. And beach equipment in the garage was much appreciated.

Grateful beach lovers
This was a perfect place to stay for our vacation this year. We had 2 families and all the room configurations worked perfectly with 2 parents in the main king bedroom, 2 parents in the upstairs Queen room with a private bathroom, 2 teens sharing the pink bunk room, and 2 young adults sharing the open bunk beds. We loved the outdoor bed swing and 4 patios. There were probably 10 beach chairs, more than enough for everyone. We rented 2 more bikes for our group from Big Daddy’s. There were lots of sand toys for kids. The kitchen had a crockpot, single serving blender, and toaster that came in handy. There were plenty of plates and cups and nice pots and pans to cook with. The washer and dryer were large capacity and was appreciated when both families needed to do laundry before heading out. Beach access is really close and we walked down almost every night to get ice cream or see the sunset. Wish we could have stayed longer and hope to be back soon.

Great House!
Well equipped for cooking, we cooked most meals and found everything we needed. Beds and showers were comfortable. Really enjoyed the two bikes and numerous beach toys for the kids. Location was great across from the pool, the four porches were awesome. We really enjoyed our stay and would like to come back next year!

Lovely visit
This was the third house we have stayed in this neighborhood over the years and was our favorite. It was close to the trail to the pool. The layout was great, a real size table that fit 6, and a great view of the lake/pond/swamp behind the house. The host was very kind and accommodating. Also: the “check out” list was simple. I’ve been to VRBOs before where they want you to strip all the beds, do a ton of chores, here the requests were easy and reasonable (start dishwasher, take out trash). I appreciate that. We’d stay here again in a heartbeat!

Great location !
We arrived a couple hours early and Susan was totally accommodating. The house is beautiful and in a lovely, quiet neighborhood that is walking distance to the beach, Blue Mountain Creamery (!) We enjoyed a fantastic 4th of July fireworks show just 4 miles down the road at Seaside. We used the bikes, boogie boards, beach chairs, etc. from the garage--awesome since this was our first beach vacation and we weren't as prepared. The house is open with nice bathrooms and kitchen. We enjoyed the front porch; my husband sat on the back porch a lot with his coffee looking for wildlife in the pond. Plenty of balconies. And, NO mosquitoes!! Susan had plenty of info at the house about activities and food in the area. It was a totally enjoyable and easy trip for our 6 adults and two little children!

About the host

The beaches of northwest Florida were a favourite vacation spot for my family when I was a child. When my children came along, we brought them here every year. We love to spend time on the beautiful white sand beaches of northwest Florida and hope to be able to hand the tradition down to our grandchildren.

Why they chose this property

The thing that sold us on this home was the view from the back porch. We have spent many hours there watching great blue herons feed, nest and raise their young, seeing deer feeding at the waters edge and watching birds and squirrels scamper and play in the woods.
