3 bedrooms close to the Beach
About Cheryl Kalinowski
John is a retired boilermaker and Cheryl is a retired teacher. We are snowbirds in the winter, love the beach, riding bike, and making new friends. We have three children and two grandchildren. We live near this vacation rental so you can reach us at anytime. Our plan is to move back to the little piece of heaven when our youngest graduates from CMU!
Cheryl Kalinowski purchased this House in 1993
Why Cheryl Kalinowski chose Michigan City
We bought this property because of the location to the beach. We can load up the wagon and cooler and be there in less than a 10 minute walk. Yes, it's a small house; however, it met our needs. We could have the house clean top to bottom in a few hours and still be to the beach by Noon! We only started renting this property because Cheryl needed to be a little closer to work.
What makes this House unique
This house sits on a great lot! There is a wonderful side yard and back yard. In addition, there was a carport that we visioned as a cute little screened in room. That is just what we did. We can sit out there and enjoy morning coffee, read the newspaper, or just relax when the weather is not that great for sitting outside.

Close to everything and welcoming
There were 6 of us and one night an extra. There was plenty of room. We cooked 3 nights and had everything we needed in the kitchen. We ate outside on the patio. The yard is very big and we spent time out there. There is a darling sun room also. Beds were comfy and 2 couches were plenty for all of us. It is priced extremely reasonable and having been a Vrbo member myself, this exceeded our expectations. Great location and easy walk to beach. We’ll be back! Thank you Cheryl!
Great mini vacation! Perfect close location to the the beach! House was clean and had everything we needed, we loved the sunroom too! And the owner was kind and very accommodating, which made our stay even better.
Thank you so much for your kind review. We are glad you and your family had a wonderful time. Please come stay with us again.
The Beach House was exactly what I imagined. My family enjoyed it.
Walk to the beach
Cheryl was very responsive from the reservation to the end of our visit. She even responded with the name of a dentist in an emergency. The neighborhood is peaceful and safe. The house is cute and well supplied with dishes, glasses and pots and pans. Great backyard and tire swing. She has the things for the Lake for our kidos, 7-4 yr old.. The washer and dryer were so great given the beach trips every day. We didn't eat out a lot so we did a lot of dishes by hand. That it's close to OHare was perfect for our international family and those who came from CO, CA, FL, MD,TN. It was a wonderful time in this house and in Michigan City for our family reunion. Perfect for families.
Cozy House with easy beach walk

Thank you for your kind words. We are glad you enjoyed your stay. Please come back and visit again.

About 4 miles from the house you will find Winding Creek Cove.
