Amazing spot in Wrigleyville
This is a great house in an incredible location. Couldn’t ask for a better spot while visiting Chicago. Chris was very friendly and easy to work with. 10/10 would stay here again!!!
May 2019 stay
This rental on Racine was a perfect location. This place is centrally located between the Wriggleyville and Southport neighborhoods and was less than two blocks from the Addison red line L stop. The rental was very clean and perfect for 2-3 couples. Perfect walking distance to restaurants and shopping.
If you do decide to stay here and plan to park a vehicle beware of the Cubs game schedule. Street parking is actually pretty easy as long as it's not during a Cubs game. The rental owner did offer us a closed in spot prior to the game- but he said we needed to arrive at a minimum of 3 hours prior to game time to get the parking spot. We knew we had a 6 hour trip to get here and couldn't get to the spot 3 hours prior- so the rental owner hooked us up with someone named Chuck- and he saved us a spot at a discounted rate for one night. ($45). There was a little parking snafu- but it all got worked out quickly and we actually found a parking spot on the street directly in front of the rental the day we arrived. We never moved our vehicle again until we left. Honestly if it weren't for the parking hiccup at the beginning we would give this rental 5 stars. Location was awesome and the rental was clean and updated nicely.
Great location and super spacious!
We really enjoyed our stay. The kitchen was huge and the bathrooms were nice with modern fixtures. The brownstone unit is just a street away from Wrigley and lots of bars, restaurants and shopping.
AMAZING - Rental * MEH - Check In
We would definitely stay here again. The space is inviting, comfortable and feels upscale. It was clean and spacious. I was pleasantly surprised at the quietness of the neighborhood. We could hear a family's morning routine of getting their sometimes reluctant kids to school/daycare. It didn’t last long and I think adds to the charm. My only issue was check in. As our stay for the April 2019 there is literally no check in information provided by the property manager to the Home Away site. Any information has to come directly from the property manager/owner. This is a major oversight by the owner/manager. I hate the feeling of showing up and hoping (fingers crossed) someone will be there. We were coming in on Sunday evening but didn’t receive the official check in message until hours after we were already there. I was communicating with Chuck about parking but he doesn't have keys. It creates unnecessary arrival anxiety. Looking back now, I know that Chuck, Angie, Chris and Chris all know each other and can be in contact to make sure you get keys. The day we arrived, I had no way of knowing that and it made me very nervous. That being said, once we were parked Chuck got in contact with Angie, who lives upstairs, to let us in. Angie is wonderful. SO.NICE.AND.WELCOMING. I really can't say enough nice things about her. Overall the rental was so perfect for our needs the arrival anxiety melted away.
Great place to stay!
We stayed her the end of March with our family of five. The house and location is great! The place was incredibly clean. The carpet is brand new, the beds are very comfortable, and it had all the amenities we needed. It was more than enough room for all of us. It is very well kept. The neighbors are quiet. I cannot say enough good things about this house. We will definitely be back for our next stay in Chicago! Thank you very much Chris for providing a top notch house for us. You made our entire vacation!
