Magical and colorful, this spacious two bedroom, two bath and seven room single story home is within easy walking distance of historic Taos. It is a few hundred feet from the luxurious El Monte Sagrado Spa. It has the adobe charm and color you would expect of the American southwest in a small community of homes, some of which date to the 19th century.
For the fall we are making these introductory rates attractive and well below market.
Excuse the older cell phone photos while we await professional pics. These pics don’t show the artwork, hot tub or decks.
We have made every effort to equip the home for your every need, including a well-appointed kitchen. Traditional southwest color and imagination abound, with numerous art pieces from the area and a lovely kiva fireplace.
Two wooded decks have been added; the front deck has a sizable hot tub and the back has a gas barbecue and seating.
You will be introduced to the property by a dedicated property manager who lives in the complex and is available to help with questions or problems. We want you to thoroughly enjoy your stay with a minimum of trouble and a maximum of convenience.
PLEASE NOTE: checkin is at 4:00. If you need to drop your bags off, let us know but we need to have time to clean the unit after the previous guests check out.
Shopping, exploring, culinary delights and night life are close by for all ages and tastes. Frequent celebrations and festivals can be experienced at the plaza. Of course, you are within easy driving of fabulous sights and outdoor activities, including fly fishing, river rafting and ATV adventures. The fabulous Rio Grande River Gorge is a short drive and there are numerous adorable little villages and towns to explore, including those in nearby Colorado. You are about a half hour away from world class ski resorts and golf, and of course there is the culture--from ancient cave dwellings to the historic and long-functioning Taos Pueblo.
Taos is an artisan's paradise with innumerable opportunities to explore and cherish.
The town of Taos is full of conveniences, including markets to satisfy budget constraints or epicurean tastes.
One visit to Taos is never enough and we enthusiastically look forward to your return.
You might note a bit of a religious theme to some art. That is not intended to suggest anything other than we buy local art when we can, and that often has a theme reflecting the Jesuit past of the area.
Finally, while this is not an issue with most guests occasionally we have a guest who is not respectful of the neighbors, who welcome respectful vacation home renters. NO PARTIES OR OBNOXIOUS NOISE OR BEHAVIOR ARE PERMITTED IN THIS COMPLEX—if police are called you will be evicted with no refund. We have not yet had to go to this extreme so please be respectful. If you are looking for a party house just please book elsewhere.
