Island hop, explore the island by Golf Cart, make your own ice cream, spearfish, bonefish, offshore fishing, play ping pong, hiking, beaching, shelling, swimming, snorkeling, explore beach caves, jump in and swim the Blue Hole, cooking, bicycling, read a book, play a game, write a poem, kayak, watch a movie on the new flat screen TV, ride a bicycle, Friday night ''Grill and Chill'', watch the beautiful sunset from your private balcony, kite boarding, play with the kids on the beach, put together a 3-D puzzle, take a nap on the hammock or do nothing.
Fishing:
Great Harbor Cay and the Berry Islands have long been known as the Sportfishing Capital of the Bahamas. You can catch Marlin, Sailfish, wahoo, Grouper, Mutton and yellowtail snapper, Bonefish, Yellow Fin and Black Fin Tuna and many other game fish now and throughout the year. From GHC you can easily fish "The Pocket" and Chub Cay, Hole In The Wall, The Channel and the many live reefs that surround GHC. How to get here:
Take your boat. It is an easy run from South Florida or you could make a welcome stop on your way back from the Abaco's or further south.
Fly into the local airport. There are daily flights to Nassau, NAS. You can then take Leair from Nassau to Great Harbor Cay, GHC. Also, there are direct flights from Ft. Lauderdale.
Makers Air, Aztec Airways and Tropic Ocean Airways offers a quick, 50 minute, non-stop service from Ft.Lauderdale, FLL, to Great Harbour Cay.
If you have a party of 5 or more, it might make sense to charter a plane.

ps the island, for the most part, operates on a cash basis. Just a few establishments including the marina, accept credit cards at this time.
