Enjoy this completely remodeled 2 bed/2 bath property that is surrounded on 2 sides by water! The rental is 1/2 of a duplex that is on the canal connecting Lake Henry to Lake June, giving you both canal and lake views. Lake Henry is a 64 acre fishing lake which connects to Lake June a 3,700 acre recreational lake. Enjoy sitting on the dock, jet ski li or just floating in the water.

The house has all amenities necessary for a great lake vacation. Beautifully remodeled kitchen with granite counter tops and stainless steel appliances. Opens to the living room for easy entertaining. Two full bathrooms, one with walk in shower and one with tub.

There are two bedrooms. One can be closed off to allow for private bed/bath combo. Bedroom one has king bed. Bedroom two has queen bed. Stackable laundry in the unit.

Lake Placid, FL is known as the "Town of Murals" and "The Caladium Capital of the World". Lake Placid has more than 40 murals painted on buildings throughout the town, and 98 percent of the world's caladium bulbs come from Lake Placid. Downtown has cute shops and diners to explore. Golfing, casinos, local winery/distillery, and movies are a short drive away. Sebring International Raceway just 14mi away! Beaches and Orlando attractions are approx. 2hrs. away.

Boaters- Please note the water depth in the canal between Lake Henry and Lake June can vary. Shallow water crafts- jet skis, bass boats, most pontoons typical do well, but passage cannot be guaranteed.

Great Winter Getaway

We enjoyed this rental gem for three "winter" months. A great place to watch various wading birds as they fished the canal in front of the house, along with ducks and great horned owls that serenaded us many nights. We saw them a few times as well. We took our small pontoon boat so were able to enjoy use of the dock as well as boating and fishing on both Lake Henry and Lake June. As many have said, Karen was a great neighbor and on-site host. Jennifer was also very easy to work with and readily available to communicate with for questions we might have. Overall, a very good experience. We recommend it for anyone looking for a place to stay in the Lake Placid area.

Didn’t get to spend much time at property but was very accommodating. Also, well kept and nice area. Wish we would have had time to kayak! Would stay again.

Very quiet place on the Lake with excellent owners

I traveled down to complete a Spartan Beast race and stayed at this place. The moment you walk in this place, it is professionally remodeled and top of the line fixtures, appliances, etc. There was nothing wrong with this place, it was perfect. The best part, was our conversations with Karen who also lives in the back part of the unit. She was very friendly and very knowledgeable of Florida history. My daughter and her hit it off during our evening conversations on the back deck. I would rate this a 10

Home away from home

Another great long weekend on Lake Henry! We feel like we are going to our own vacation place and Karen really makes you feel like family. Weather was so-so but there are fun things to do in the area and we explored Hammock State Park for the first time!!! Great restaurants and new shops in Lake Placid that we visited upon Karen’s suggestions, and we loved them! Best Mexican food we ever had at Cafe Tequila and a fun morning at the Farmers Market and the shops all around the square!!! Thank you Karen and Jennifer! See you again, for sure!!!
