Le Trésor is a place of serenity, away from it all... and yet so close to everything.
Imagine waking up to the sounds of the birds, views of the valley and majestic dressage horses nearby. On the covered terrace, enjoy breakfast or a glass of wine at the end of your day exploring the area.

This is a peaceful retreat with all the amenities you could possibly need. The converted stone barn had gone through a series of renovations over the past years, creating a beautiful house, while retaining its historic charm.

**Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and for the safety of our guests, we have taken additional precautions to ensure the property is thoroughly disinfected between guests. If you wish to bring your own pillows, bedding and towels, please let us know. We are requiring 3 days between guests and ask that you do not visit the property should you be symptomatic.

The space
The charming one bedroom house is set up perfectly for a couple, plus a child. The entire first floor consists of a large master bedroom with sitting area and pull out bed for a child. You'll also find a sofa bed in the living room.

Clean, comfortable and secluded - a bijou holiday home

The most hotel-like gite we have ever stayed in. The best stocked ever. Very clean, very comfortable, and very secluded, it was perfect for rest and relaxation. Located about half an hour's drive from Angouleme. Lovely owners, it was a pleasure to meet them.

Très jolie maison cosy, très bien équipée avec un très beau jardin clos. Nous avons pu profiter des framboises et de la rhubarbe qui poussent dans le jardin 😋. Notre hôte est très réactive quand on a une question et a notre arrivée des petites attentions étaient mises à disposition comme une bouteille de vin, des confitures,… Je recommande vivement cette location !!! Nous avons passé un très agréable séjour

Perfect Retreat

This lovely property is situated in the perfect spot to relax and enjoy the comfort of the well equipped and perfectly formed one bedroom accommodation as well as it being a base to do some exploring of this beautiful area of France. Kelly, the owner, was most helpful: from clarifying the booking process, confirming our booking and ensuring we had what we needed once we arrived. With the help of Debbie & Clark we were well looked after. The accommodation is well equipped with all that was needed to the point we tried our hand at some 'from scratch' french recipes. We very much enjoyed our time at Le Tresor, took in the rural landscapes, pretty villages, exercised with some lovely walks experiencing the colours of this autumnal time of year and 'recharged our batteries'. We would recommend this property to other couples and hope to return. Andrea & Mick Brown

France became the go-to and favorite destination for Kelly and Greg, while happily dragging their teenage daughter along. After years of dreaming of owning their own piece of this beautiful country, they finally purchased their French Dream, Le Trésor in June of 2018.

Why they chose this property

After travelling throughout France and looking at a vast selection of properties, we fell in love with this home. Love at first site for both of us. It checked all the important boxes:

•Quiet and tranquil location – no listening to late night party goers
•Close to amenities and the essential boulangerie (5 minutes away)!
•Close to the high speed train system
•Secure storage for bikes
•Yes, we love Paris, the Loire, Bordeaux and Dordogne. This location is somewhat in the middle. You can be in Paris in 2 hours by train, Bordeaux in 2 hours by car (or 45 minutes by train), we are in the northern part of the Dordogne
•Plenty of interesting places to visit and great restaurants within a 10 – 30 minute drive
•French charm: Stone (tuffeau) walls, beams, fireplace and modern kitchen/bathrooms and recently renovated

What makes this property unique

We decided on the name Le Trésor as it truly is a Treasure. We have every modern amenity you could possibly need; in a charming home (formerly a barn). The guest house La Petite Perle is a recent rebuild and is beautifully equipped.

We are in an extremely quiet location, overlooking a beautiful valley (Grand Ravin du Vallon de la Tricherie) and beautiful dressage horses are our neighbors.

We are excited to share the beauty of this area of France and Le Trésor with our friends, family and guests!
