A good value in Minneapolis
This apartment was in the upstairs of an old house, and was slightly smaller than we expected. It was comfortable for 2 people, but would be crowded with 4. The apartment was clean and well stocked. As it was upstairs in an old house and we visited in July, the apartment was very hot when we arrived. There is a window unit AC in the living room, which kept that room comfortable but created little airflow in the bedroom, making it hard to sleep. We requested a fan late afternoon and management responded the next morning, bringing one over that day. Once the temperature cooled and we had the fan, sleeping was much more comfortable.
The listing advertises plenty of street parking available and we found that to be true for the most part, but occasionally had to drive around the block to find a space and walk a block or two back to the apartment (not a huge deal to us, but worth considering if you find city parking stressful).
As for the location, there were lots of restaurants nearby, and the property is near enough to the highway that getting around the city was not difficult. We didn't find many attractions within walking distance, but lots to do within a 20 minute (or less) drive. We never felt unsafe walking around the neighborhood.
Overall, we were very happy with the responsiveness of the host and felt that the apartment was a good value for someone looking for a "home base" from which to explore the Twin Cities.
Thank you for taking the time to write a review about our Minnestay property. I'm glad you were able to enjoy the house and neighborhood for what it has to offer. Thank you for bringing these items to our attention-this is how we get better and grow as a team and a company! We hope to welcome you back to Minneapolis whenever your adventures bring you here.
