'Village View'- Elegant, Comfortable, Historic Home in Downtown Lenox

"Village View", our 140 year old house, is at the end of a quiet street in downtown Lenox. The shops, restaurants, galleries, library, farmers market, tennis courts, playground and locally made ice cream are all a five minute walk away!

Lenox is the home of Shakespeare & Company and Tanglewood, the summer home of the Boston Symphony Orchestra. You'll find live theatre and dance, renown museums, nature preserves, lakes, golf, hiking, skiing, spas and spectacular vistas within an easy drive !

Lenox Village

We had a wonderful time in the beautiful house in the perfect location. The only problem was that the ceiling leaked in one of the bedrooms during a very heavy downpour. However the owner checked on it the next day and made arrangements to fix it sometime.

Gorgeous home

We had a wedding in Lenox to attend where the host hotel didn’t allow children. We found this lovely home that was near all of the action we needed to attend. Carol the homeowner was very gracious in accommodating us. Our packing up process took longer than usual and she was very kind. It’s a very spacious home as well. Thank you!!

A great place to stay!

My friends and I stayed here back in 2023 and as soon as we left everyone agreed we want to come back and stay here again. This house is so comfortable and welcoming, plus it is also in a great location. The owner was so nice and easy to work with. Highly recommend!

Delightful New England charm near town

A wonderful New England house very close to Lenox town center. The proximity to town was excellent and we walked to dinner every night. The house had a perfect layout for a group of ladies for the weekend. The multiple living room spaces made were great for relaxing after a day of activities. The multiple fireplaces were a cozy touch for the cold evenings. The house was a comfortable temperature even in early March. The kitchen was well stocked for dishware, glassware, cutlery, etc. The bedrooms and beds were very comfortable. Highly recommend this house for a trip to Lenox or The Berkshires.

Four friends, one from California experiencing a New England fall for the first time, and this was the perfect spot. Comfort, walkability, great space inside and out. Lots of space! It would have been helpful to have exact address earlier for planning purposes.

Berkshires Wedding

Fantastic! The House was very comfortable - six adults - and spacious. Some had to work one day, and all found great space to set up. The location is awesome - a very charming area and an easy walk to everything in Lenox. We were here for a wedding but still had time to enjoy several of the Lenox eateries and shops. Wish we had planed to spend more time. The area is beautiful and offers plenty to do.

Be aware - no AC

Great location and a lovely old home in our favorite town of Lenox. But after one sleepless night we could not stay there as the heat was unbearable. There were fans in every room but with the heat wave it just blew the hot air around. This is probably only an issue in July and August. Thousands of dollars paid for a one week rental down the drain.

Beautiful Lenox home

This is a truly handsome home in an excellent location, a few minutes walk from Lenox center and easy ride to Tanglewood and Kripalu. Carol is a gracious and welcoming owner. This is a large, comfortable home, with spacious kitchen, dining room, two living rooms areas, bathroom, and wrap around porch on the first floor and five bedrooms, with a full bathroom, including a large masterbedroom with its own double-sinked bathroom and jacuzi. The outdoor grounds and patio are lovely. This is our second stay at this home and we would be delighted to return again.

Perfect Place in Lenox

Was exactly as described in listing. Worked perfectly for family wedding weekend at Tanglewood. Walked into town and to a hike in Kennedy Park. Wish we had time to do some reading as fantastic book selection.

Lovely escape

We had a lovely white Christmas here. Carol was very responsive and when we had some issues with the heat in one room she got it resolved right away. Wonderfully cozy home and we enjoyed walking into town (even in the cold and snowy conditions).

Wonderful home in superb location!

The house is spacious and comfortably accommodated 7 adults. Plenty of lovely spaces to socialize inside, and outside. The host was very gracious, and lots of attention to detail around short term guest needs. Fantastic location only a short stroll downtown. We all truly enjoyed our stay and hope to return!
