Beautiful house on the lake
We had a great time at this house. Great location right on the lake. The house was equipped with everything and exceptionally clean. We enjoyed family time during New Years break by playing games, watching movies and hanging out by the fire pit outside. Gary was easy to work with and provided us with a welcome gift of a s’more kit which was a nice surprise. Would highly recommend this house.

Outstanding place!
Nice and quiet location, well-supplied, very clean (cleanest house we rented this year). Backyard is ideal for family activities, ..fire pit, picnic tables, boat house equipped with fishing gear. Nice view especially in the morning. We saw deer, ducks, Egret..highly recommend especially for family bonding. Excellent internet and cable access. Hosts are very accommodating. Thanks!

Relaxing weekend!
The property is perfect for a weekend getaway. The lake is beautiful, and it is really nice that the owner provides kayaks and life jackets. If you have small children, you may want to bring extra small ones. Otherwise, it was a nice weekend away. Gary was responsive via email and phone, and the house has the amenities you need for the weekend. Our only issue was the guard at the property who was quite hostile to each one of us as we entered. It felt as though it was our ethnicity and the fact we were wearing masks. However, this has nothing to do with the property or owner, so I would not allow it to deter you in any way. The guard upon departure was very friendly! We highly recommend the house if you want a quiet and nice getaway.

Getaway by the Lake
Overlooking an inlet of Lake Livingston. Good sized deck to relax on and watch birds in the evening. Had two kayaks which we did not use. Very comfortably furnished home. Well stocked kitchen with Keurig coffee maker, blender and lots of pots and pans.

About the host

Gary & Jeanene Jensen are happy to offer this property for you to enjoy your vacation. We have been in the Information Technology business for many years, and have recently started our own IT consulting business. So, with all the travel we do for work, we have purchased our ideal lakefront property that we hope to enjoy fully in our retirement years. We live nearby, our daughter goes to a local school, and Jeanene's family and friends are all in this same general area. Jeanene is a native Texan, while Gary is Canadian born and moved from Canada in 1999 - he really moved to escape those nasty Canadian winters in Edmonton, AB, but didn't realize at the time that he was going from the freezer to the frying pan! The Houston weather took a little getting used to.

Why they chose this property

We spent many months selecting what we thought was the perfect property for a relaxing and enjoyable vacation. We wanted a property that would offer the best lake views, lots of room to do outdoor activities, fish off the bulkhead, participate in lots of water sports, and enjoy nature in a quiet acreage setting. We believe this is indeed the perfect vacation spot!

What makes this property unique

The sunset and lake views are spectacular. You can sit on the boat house dock and watch the birds fly over the lake. You can fish right off the boat house. You can have a morning coffee on the covered patio with lake view, listen to the wind blow through the many large trees on the property. It is peaceful, relaxing, fun and just an enjoyable spot in every way.
