Super clean appartment and brilliant location
We stayed as this property during a week and I would definitely recommend staying there when visiting New York.The appartment is super clean, and it is definitely a 15-20 min bus journey from central Manhattan. I had read in some review that is was longer, but we took the bus every day and it never took us longer than 20 min. You also have 2 bus options, including one bus (bus 51) which comes every 15-20 min. The bus stop is 1 min away from the flat, and you also have a few shops nearby to do grocery shopping. The area feels safe as well.The flat is small, but it is bigger than it looks on the pictures and definitely big enough for 5-6 people, especially if you're going to be out most of the day. There are 2 bedrooms, each with a comfortable double bed, then a double sofa-bed in the living room.The host Claudia provides towels as well as a few things to get you started, like soap and shampoo, a few bags of tea and coffee, some bottled water...Claudia responds to messages super quickly and the check-in and check-out processes are straight forward.The only negative point for me was that the flat can be quite noisy - you hear the cars on the street and the neighbours upstairs. However, Claudia provides a couple of ear plug sets (but I'd recommend bringing your own as well if you're more than 2 guests and if you're a light sleeper).Despite this, the flat still deserves 5 stars as it offers excellent value for money.
