Beautiful Country Home- Sleeps 8

This home is situated on 40 acres with beautiful views of rolling hills and sunsets. The house features an open concept with vaulted ceilings in family room and living room. It has a large deck with entry from the family room, sun room and master bedroom. The spacious master bedroom has an attached bathroom with walk in tile shower, double vanities and a soaking tub. The sun room and living room both offer additional sleeping areas with a slide out full size couch and futon. The house has a convenient first floor laundry and a 3 car garage. The home has new furniture as of 2019, including beds and is very clean and comfortable. Third bathroom with shower is available in unfinished walk out basement.

It is next door to an apple orchard that is open in the Fall with fresh apples and bakery. It is conveniently located in the southwest corner of Dane County, near historic New Glarus, Mount Horeb, Mineral Point, Madison, Blue Mounds, Tyrol Ski basin, Yellowstone and Governor Dodge State Parks.

Beautiful Setting

Lovely home in the country, perfect for our sister weekend. Apple orchard and Pumpkin patch 1/2 mile away, with New Glarus close by for shopping and dining! Would definitely stay again!

I can’t even begin to describe the gorgeous views. There is an adjoining working farm so there is a lot of farm activity down below the deck which we didn’t mind. House was clean and convenient location to New Glarus and Mt. Horeb. Had a great time!

Family getaway for peace and quiet. Area is so serene. House was a great place to relax, very spacious.Visited a few of the surrounding towns and they offered that hometown hospitality that can be found in small towns. Absolutely beautiful area. Fall visit would be next on list, apple orchards next door and fall colors would be bliss!

A trip 'home'

We wanted to make a trip with our aging parents back to Blanchardville, where our mom was born and raised. We visited there every summer and Christmas for many, many years as children. We were able to reconnect with family we hadn't seen now in many years (we are now in our 60's ourselves).

Homecoming

The owners were responsive and very accommodating. We felt very welcome and truly enjoyed the spacious, impeccably clean, lovely home. We definitely plan to make a return stay next fall. We visited the orchard and came away with delicious Honey Crisp apples, fresh apple pie, homemade caramel topping and other goodies. Recommend a trip there for sure!

Early Thanksgiving

This property is very conveniently located in beautiful setting in the country. We used this as an early Thanksgiving get away. Due to scheduling of family members it is difficult to get together for Thanksgiving so we find a weekend that we can all meet at a central location for a weekend. The kitchen is nicely equipped with all the essentials needed to prepare a great meal. There is plenty of room to allow the family to spread out for small conversation or gather together to play games. It offers a great view of the rolling and wooded country side and close to many small towns to explore. Would recommend this for a group get to get her. The owner was very easy and prompt to communicate with and very easy check in and out. Our family had a great weekend here and would book a return visit.

Great Location!

The house was clean and stocked well. The location of the home is awesome, along with how quiet it is. The windows make it refreshing by letting in a lot of sunlight. The only disappointment is the third bathroom is in the empty basement. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay.

Beautiful fall getaway

Seamless, well stocked, comfortable and spotless experience. The little ones loved the deck, yard and nearby orchard! The adults loved the space, quiet, and great sheets, towels, mattresses, and stocked kitchen and bathrooms. Thanks for a great weekend.

Beautiful property inside and out

Perfect for a group to be altogether or to break into separate groups. Immaculate housekeeping, comfortable sitting and sleeping areas, well appointed kitchen with plenty of dishes. Easy to follow instructions and very responsive host. Gorgeous view on a deck that wraps wraps around. I can’t say enough about this lovely house

Laura was very easy to work with and her home is immaculate. So much space—great for a gathering inside and on the big deck out back with gorgeous views. Lots of towels, extra blankets/sheets/pillows. Master is gorgeous and beds are comfy. We hope to stay again in the future!

Great property with an amazing view!

We visited the. Mount Horeb area for a Girl’s Weekend. Proximity to Madison was a big factor in choosing this property. The area’s parks, wineries, restaurants, and breweries and distilleries was also a plus.. Definitely put this area of Wisconsin on you bucket list and this rental on your must stay list!

This was a perfect gathering spot for a long weekend with family. The views are spectacular and the space was cozy and super clean. Other than a few minor things like the coffee pot not in great working order, 5 star ratings!

Beautiful views and spaces perfect for a family gathering

We enjoyed our time at the Munchkey B&B. We had a family gathering of 8 adults and it was perfect for our group. We travelled 20 minutes or so to Mineral Point for the farmers market and galleries. There were plenty of spaces for all to sleep comfortably. The kitchen was well-equipped. It was very clean and comfortable. The views from the deck were amazing. I would recommend the Munchkey B&B to anyone.
