A few steps from Piazza di Testaccio, currently affected by an important restructuring project after having always been the headquarters of the local market. The neighborhood is famous for its restaurants with characteristic Roman cuisine but there is also a cinema multiplex, two theaters, one of the MACRO-Museum of Contemporary Art in Rome (which currently hosts the great installation "Big Bamboo" by American artists Mike and Doug Starn) -. Crossing Sublicio bridge you get to Trastevere, in the widening between Porta Portese and San Michele (former juvenile prison, now the headquarters of the Superintendence), close to the cinema / arena Nuovo Sacher by Nanni Moretti. On the opposite side the district ends with the Pyramid of Cestius and Porta San Paolo where the train arrives from Fiumicino airport and where there is the underground stop (1 stop at Circo Massimo, 2 at the Colosseum, 4 at Termini Station). The connections - as well as the underground - are guaranteed by numerous buses to the Vatican other central areas of the city.
