Great place to stay
Wonderful attention to detail. Made some lovely memories!
A wonderful stay in Tain
A lovely base to explore this very historical area. We have loved its Pictish stones, brochs and cairns. But it was also nice to come “home” to this well appointed cottage.
Cosy hideaway in Tain
We had a very comfortable stay in this charming, cosy cottage in Tain. The area was beautiful with lots to see and do and we hope to return!
Nice compact cottage in good location
We had a great stay in Tain. The cottage is nicely decorated, stylish but cosy. A nice touch was the provision of some groceries on arrival - bread, butter etc. Loved the veg garden at the back, and the view onto pony/horse paddock. A few small negatives...wifi bit weak, sofas not too comfy, fridge didn't seem to work, and bathroom compact. Saying that, would definitely book again if staying in Tain and will recommend to friends.
I am so sorry the fridge was not working properly, no one has said anything so I had no idea
Tain is surrounded by some of Scotland's finest golf courses
The much under rated, Tain course is just a short walk from the cottage. Dornoch, Migdale, Brora and indeed Skibo are all near by.
There are also plenty of wonderful day visits across the highlands for bird watches fisherman and hill walkers.
Although the climate is not usually suitable for sunbathing we have many beautiful uncrowded beaches and occasionally it is warm enough for a dip in the ocean
