Enjoyable stay overall with a couple of improvements
Overall, this was a good home base for a small beach town vacation in Corfu. Great location extremely close to the beach, a few small restaurants, and a very large shared swimming pool. The house was spacious, and there were 3 outdoor spaces to enjoy the sunshine outside. Beware that power can go out suddenly, but that's just a reality that everyone deals with. On the downside, the upstairs air conditioner was broken and the upstairs shower was missing a door, which caused the bathroom floor to get very wet and slippery whenever we used that shower. We would give this 3.5 out of 5 stars.

Needs a Jolly Good Clean
Needs a Jolly Good Deep CleanWhere do I start...firstly let me say Barbati is wonderful... the location of this apartment is good with access to a amazing beach and a wonderful swimming pool. There is lots of available accomodation so don't let this personal review of our experience stop you from visiting the area.We arrived... (We are two mature couples) in the middle of the Tuesday afternoon from spending an idyllic week on the South West of Corfu. This apartment was a huge shock to the system, as it is compact to say the least. with no room in the lounge to accommodate/seat 4 adults. In opening up the doors we discovered a very sizable terraces making the indoor space somewhat more acceptable. There really is no Kitchen just an electric hob next to a sink under the stairs there are various cupboards and a dresser. There is evidence of a damp problem on the walls under the TV. There are 2 small bedrooms with large beds in them 1 downstairs and one upstairs both with adjacent tiny shower rooms. there had very clearly been a severe water leak around the hallway into the downstairs the bathroom door downstairs did not close and the handle was missing from the inside!! The upper cupboard in the downstairs wardrobe is unusable due to the appalling smell of Damp. On opening the doors to the dresser in the lounge there were ants everywhere crawling all over the cups and saucers and mugs. There were two filthy tins one marked Sugar and one marked Coffee the salt and pepper shakers were full and disgusting the lids covered in corrosion. But much worse than this was a honey dispenser that was half full of sugar and black with ants obviously the cleaner had not checked the cupboard and the infestation of ants had ensued. the floor was covered the cupboard was full. We cleaned up the sugar and washed the filthy items. We managed to cook breakfast the following morning but on cleaning up follow the meal we discovered just how dirty and greasy the kitchen area was around the hob and the patio table had also not been cleaned. All the way up the stairs there was dust in the corners and it was moving with small ants... behind the upstairs bathroom door had not been cleaned and again was alive with small ants not the big black ants that had been in the dresser.I phoned Eos Travel (Wednesday AM) and explained the problems about 20 mins later the cleaner arrived with an virtually empty tin of bug spray and a screwdriver. I tried to explain the cleaning issues to the cleaner however my Greek is very limited so I was not successful.. she tried to replace the bathroom handle and failed.. it wouldn't have made a difference had she been able to fix the handle as as the door did not close.. as I had explained to the EOS office. We finished the bugs spray tin into the runners of the patio doors and cleared up the ant problem to a greater or lesser extent. Thursday morning we received a visit from a very professional representative of EOS who listened to the catalogue of cleaning issues... some of which I had already rectified grease round the cooker.... patio table and dirty items in the dresser. I showed her my pet ants on the stairs and also explained about the ones living behind the bathroom door she was very apologetic and assured us she would speak to the owner... 20 mins later a young man arrive to look at the bathroom door and said that someone would be along to fix it and the cleaner would come in an hour when we had gone out to sort out the cleaning issues. We went out when we arrived back to the apartment the cleaner had clearly been in however the only change was she had taken some empty water bottles we had left by the front door.Nothing happened on Friday ....On Saturday the cleaner came to give us clean towels and bedding no cleaning was done that we could see. Please bear in mind we would be leaving early Tuesday morning!!On Sunday the owner turned up with the cleaner and a carpenter to fi

The terrase is amazing, morning waves sounds and sea view is fantastic mind therapy - perfect place for coffee and relaxing. Very close to the beach (1min) and main road. Market is close, too, as well as some nice beach restaurant. Host is at disposal, towels are changed after 3 days, a lot of amenities. Wifi is not usable upstairs, just downstairs, grate thing is two bathrooms (not so ample). Dishwasher is cramped, but total impression is above expectations.
Great apartment and location, very good service
We had a great holiday in Barbati and the Barbati Beach Maisonette. The apartment was spacious and clean and we were very happy with the big patio. The location is great - the apartment is just a one minute walk to the beach and also very close to the main street with a few nice bars and restaurants. On top of that the service (cleaning and overall service) was very good. We could ask any question by sending a text message and would receive a clear and satisfying answer within an hour or two. A few (small) cons: the kitchen and bathroom are quite small and we had to pay for our beds at the pool (also it was not clear to us which pool we could use - we were send away while making use of the 'wrong' pool). But all in all a very good experience and we would certainly recommend the Barbati Beach Maisonette.
We loved our trip to Barbati and the Barbati Beach Maisonette along with the service we received from Eos TravelLocationThe perfect location, just 25 minute from the airport , Corfu old town and Corfu Port. The beach, supermarkets, bars and Tavernas all with a few minutes walk of the property so no need for a car. The more lively resorts of Ipsos and Dassia are just a 5 minute taxi ride, but these are party towns full of youngsters drinking so not our scene anymore. Barbati is a high end resort with no loud music bars or nightclubs, instead you will find classy beach style bars on the sea front and traditional tavernas in the village, all with amazing views. Please note the walk up the village is vey steep so those with walking difficulties would find this a challenge, the walk to the beach is flat and easy. The Maisonette An amazing location just a 1 minute walk to the beach, when you arrive in the car park the maisonette is at the very end directly in front if you, we walked ages trying to find it without realising it was right in front of us as the door is a little hidden. There is a very nice pool you can use a minute away but with the beach so close we did not use it Great views from all balconies but especially the upstairs. Well equipped but due to the very small kitchenette under the stairs I would only recommend this property for preparing light meals, we ate our every nights so not an issue to us. The standard was what we expected of a Greek apartment with great air-conditioning which was very welcome. The maisonette provides towels but not beach towels, toilet paper, tea towels, washing up liquid etc and there was a complementary bottle of water in the fridge too. PricesThe beach bars are a lot more expensive than those in the village, typically 10-14 euros for a cocktail, 5 Euros for a beer , 5 euros for a sandwich and 9 euros for a salad. In the village 8 euros for a cocktail, 3.50euros for a beer and 4.50 for a sandwich. Trips recommendationsI would highly recommend arranging a day trip to Paxos with Eos Travel, it was the highlight to our trip. All the food we had in Barbati was good with the exception of the Greek Night at La Piazza , our favourite was Starlight, the food and service was fantastic and very reasonable. We would 100 choose this property again but mainly for the location.
Nearest resort is Barbati, built on the side of mount Pantokrator, with a gorgeous beach, Barbati has evolved from an obscure village into a delightful, quiet remote beach resort . With enough taverns and coffee shops it has become a popular destination for romantic couples and families looking for some rest and relaxation. There is nothing extraordinary about this place, but it is a place which is good in many things.
Barbati has got decent places to eat and drink, a very well organized beach, 30min drive from town and just 15-20 minutes from beaches like Agni and Kalami.
If you are looking for a little relaxation, a bit of fun and a bit of luxury, you are at the right place.
