About Paul Miller
I am a photographer and video editor who has retired from running a TV post-production company in central London. I have now invested in two apartments in central Nice to enable me to enjoy the wonderful climate, food and scenery that the Côte D'Azur offers.
Paul Miller purchased this Apartment in 2009
Why Paul Miller chose Jean-Médecin
The apartment is wonderfully situated right in the midst of the busy street life of one of the most interesting seaside cities in Europe, yet situated on the top floor of an Art Deco building with great views of the mountains, you can immediately escape into a relaxing haven of calm way above it all.
What makes this Apartment unique
Right in the heart of the city with immediate access to shops, restaurants, the beach, the Promenade des Anglais and all forms of transport to enable you to easily reach most of the surrounding areas of the Côte D'Azur.

Superb apt in great location
What a find! Everything was as expected and more; terrific location, high spec apt, spotless and effortless communication with Paul & Elena. We will certainly be back year after year!

Paul and Elena
This apartment was great. It's in such a great location. Beds are very comfy and it had everything we needed. Check in was easy and very friendly. Would highly recommend!
A lovely place, well equipped and good space. Location good too. Needed a quick clean but the dishwasher coped with that easily.
Team very nice and communication excellent too.
Good location, clean, responsive and helpful management
The perfect location
Modern and comfortable, we loved the apartment's easy walk to the Promenade and to the old city. We said, coming back home today, that if we ever got back to Nice, we'd want to stay here, again.
You would be most welcome. Look forward to welcoming you back one day soon.
Great place and location in Nice
We had a great experience staying at this property. It was a great location, centrally located to the old town, train station and the beach. Beautifully appointed apartment with everything you could need, including air conditioning in each room. The owner and Elena were great to work with in coordinating access to the place. Overall great experience and would highly recommend.
Thank you for your review. It’s great to hear that you enjoyed your stay. Obviously your response is exactly the feedback we are hoping to receive and motivates us to ensure that all of our guests have a memorable experience in this lovely city. Hope we see you again in the not too distant future.
The apartment could not be better situated in the centre of Nice. The Old Town and Promenade des Anglais are a brief stroll away as are the shops in Jean Médecin, Rue De France and Place Masséna.
There is bus stop outside the main entrance of the building which will take you to many of Nice's interesting places. The 3, 9 and 10 will all take you to the Port from where you can easily change for a bus to Beaulieu, Villefranche and Monaco. The 22 will take to Cimiez where you can visit the Musée Chagall and the Musée Matisse. Other buses will take you straight to Antibes, Cannes, Grasse or St Paul de Vence.
The main railway station is a short walk down Avenue Jean Médecin from where you can take the TGV to Italy, Provence or Paris or a local train to any of the small towns along the coast.
Getting To The Apartment
From The Airport
Taxi ranks are easily found at all terminals and once inside will take around 20 minutes to reach the apartment. The taxi should be able to deliver you to the door however; time and price will vary with the amount of local traffic. The 98 Airport shuttle bus is easy, cheap and convenient and just 6€. It runs every twenty minutes during the day, with less frequent service in the evenings and early mornings. If you get off the bus at the Cathédral-Vieille Ville stop, walk back towards the place Masséna, follow the tramway tracks to rue Pastorelli /corner Jean Médecin, it is a three minute walk.
From the Train Station
If you are coming to Nice from somewhere else in France, take an SNCF train to Gare Nice Ville. From there, the tram provides a cost effective way to get to the apartment. The trams cost 1.50€ and depart every five minutes. To take the tram, when you leave the Gare, turn left and follow Avenue Thiers, until you come to Avenue Jean Medecin. Take the tram just one stop to Jean Médecin, then cross the tracks facing Nice Étoile Mall, continue to the bus stop at rue Pastorelli, which is the second street down. You may also take a taxi from Gare SNCF to the apartment. The taxi rank is right outside the main entrance to the station and will take about five minutes to reach the apartment.
From the airport / Nice centre drive on the Promenade des Anglais, pass the hotel Meridien, turn left at the garden Albert 1ere, cross the place Masséna straight ahead, and turn at the first on the left on Alberti, at the fourth street light turn left on boulevard Dubouchage, stay on the right to go under the tunnel and you’ll see parking entrance. Closest public parking entrance is underground the Nice Étoile from the one way boulevard Dubouchage, which is a two minute walk from the apartment.
