Welcome to Lair De Leon . Large six-bedroom, old Florida style home with screened lit pool for evening swimming. Very private. Lush tropical garden. Open floor plan, big dining room for the family. Walk the kids to the Alligator Farm or to the Amphitheater without a worry about parking. Steps from the oldest lighthouse in USA. Can you make it up the 219 steps? Across from Anastasia State Park beach (0.4 miles from house) We are centrally located for all your vacation interests.
Bike ride to the beach 0.4 miles to the state beach or 2.7 miles to public beach, come home for a swim and watch the birds fly home to the Alligator Farm, poolside. Fire up the BBQ and chiminea, have smores with the kids. Go for dinner just across the bridge of lions downtown or just across the road at one of the island restaurants. If that isn't enough, a night swim awaits you. This is old Florida; everything is relaxed and comfortable. Our home awaits the family.
Pool can be heated for additional fee $350 per week. Request at time of booking.

Beautiful home.

Michelle was a great Hostess that was willing to help anyway possible to make our stay a pleasant stay. The house was warm and beautiful and fit our needs for three families to get together.

2nd stay just as good as the 1st

Second time staying at the house, all aspects of rental were fantastic. House was spacious for 3 families of 4 with 6 teenagers, clean, well appointed, and the best part was the proactive and timely response from the hosts. Great stay 2 years running.

Great house

We had a great Thanksgiving vacation in this house. It is very clean and the beds are comfortable. The house has everything you will need. It is very close to downtown and the beaches. Michelle was wonderful - we had some questions and she got back to us very quickly and was very helpful.

Great family vacation

We had a great time for our week stay. Michelle and Michael were amazing and so responsive. They had wine, chocolates, flowers, and some fun floats for us which was such a nice touch. The house was great, very comfortable and spacious for 3 families and all the kids. Also, a great kitchen for cooking since going out to restaurants isn’t something we wanted to do. Would love to stay there again.

Family vacation

The house is just perfect for families of various ages. The kitchen is equipped with everything you would need. Having a outside grill is an added benefit. Location is great...within walking distance to the Alligator Farm. Everything is within a short drive. Beautiful home! Highly recommend!

Perfect fall break getaway!

We drove down for fall break from Atlanta, and loved our time at the property and in St. Augustine. The home was clean, spacious, and easily accommodated 6 adults and 6 children. The beach wasn't too far and the kids loved swimming in the pool in the evenings. The host Michelle was extremely responsive, polite and helpful. We definitely recommend!

Perfect Vacation Home

Not only was the house spotless when we got there, but the pool was clean and perfect for both families who stayed there. The location is very close to Anastasia State Park which is the best beach access if you want to avoid fighting for parking along A1A Beach, and it’s also close to great restaurants in the area (O’Steens, OC White’s, Mellow Mushroom, etc). The owner was awesome and is available for any issues or assistance with the area. Highly recommend and we bookmarked the house for future visits!

Family Reunion

The house was clean and comfortable. The kitchen is very well stocked with everything you might need. Plenty of bath and pool towels. Pool area was great and we loved having it screened in. Location! Location! So close to all kinds of activities and St. Augustine. Michelle was a wonderful host, answering any questions and concerns promptly. Recommend this home to any large group looking for a relaxing stay!

Christmas in Saint Augustine

Michelle and Michael's house is beautiful, clean and was a perfect family getaway over Christmas! They were very easy to communicate with and made sure our stay was relaxing. Great location - beautiful neighborhood to run in and close to all the attractions. Highly recommend walking over to the alligator farm for the zip line experience! Thanks for a wonderful vacation!

Excellent property and even better location

We enjoyed our stay very much. The property was clean, up to date, and comfortable. The host was helpful and responsive in fixing a minor issue. The pool was great and we had everything we needed. The location is hard to beat! So close to the beaches and the bridge to the historic area. There are various mattress hardnesses throughout, so try to match those with personal preferences. The living and dining area provided plenty of space for hanging out and playing games.

Fantastic overall experience

We loved everything about this rental! Michelle was very responsive, friendly, and kind and also accommodating with some special requests we had. We loved the layout of the house, the neighborhood, and the location. We were very comfortable in the house. Our group was varied ages from six to grandparents. Comfortable!

We had plenty of room. The pool was nice and my grandchildren were not the only ones that enjoyed it! The only complaint was not enough tv's ! With 4 children 2 tv's do not work at night! We did have a great time though!! Thank you for sharing your beach home!!

Family vacation

This was the perfect house for our family vacation. We could not have asked for more. We were welcomed to the home with flowers, a box of chocolates and a bottle of wine. The house and pool was very clean and well stocked with anything you could possible need. The kids did not want to leave the house. They were happy to stay home and not venture out. Great location to walk to Alligator Farm or short drive to the beach st the State Park. Thank you Michelle for helping us have a family vacation we will always remember. The Scaffe family

Great House near everything

Our hosts, Michelle and Michael, were great and answered all our questions. We were greeted with chocolate and wine. The house was large and comfortable. It is actually more beautiful in real life. After sightseeing, it was great to come back to the house and jump in the pool. Pool towels were supplied, along with floats and pretty much anything else you could need. The landscaping was beautiful. Close to everything but still felt private. I cannot say enough positive things. My daughter said this was the best house and the best vacation ever. Thank you again to Michelle and Michael for being such wonderful hosts.

Amazing house in St Augustine

This house was beautiful. We had a 50th wedding anniversary party for my parents and rented this house for my family, my sister’s family and my parents. The house was perfect for our trip. The master bedroom was enormous, but all the bedrooms were very spacious. The house also has 3 full bathrooms. The kids loved the heated pool and the room with the futon. The parents loved hanging out by the pool and in the main living area. There was plenty of room for the kids and adults so we didn’t feel like we were on top of each other. We all agreed that we would rent this house again in a heartbeat. Michelle and Michael were wonderful hosts.

The perfect home for a family vacation

This an outstanding house and the host was absolutely amazing. First, the house had everything you need and it was in pristine condition. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, there is good closet space, and plenty of clean linens. We also really enjoyed the outdoor space. The screened-in cover for the pool not only kept the pool clean, but also gave us a beautiful space outdoors with no bugs. The outdoor grill was clean and works great. The location is perfectly in the middle of everything. But the best part was the host. They were responsive to questions and requests from beginning to end in a matter of minutes. They made sure we enjoyed our stay by recognizing the ‘birthday’ party we were celebrating for this vacation and made some wonderful recommendations. After the stay they promptly informed us of electronics left behind. All four families enjoyed our stay and we all agreed we would love to stay at this house again.

A perfect oasis!

We had such a wonderful stay in Michelle's home! It really seemed like staying in the home of a friend, not a VRBO. The house is very well equipped with plenty of everything - dishes, utensils, towels, pots & pans, paper products, soaps, cleaning supplies, an extra propane tank for the grill, pool floats and toys, comfy blankets... Michelle has really thought of everything. There was plenty of room for all of us, and everyone slept comfortably. We loved having the pool so we could come home and cool off at the end of a hot day downtown or at the beach. The location was perfect for us too - a very short drive to either downtown St. Augustine or out to Anastasia State Park. Throughout the reservation process and during our stay, Michelle responded almost immediately to every message. She was even kind enough to postpone a tree removal to accommodate our short notice stay. We love St. Augustine and we loved this VRBO experience. We are so thankful for lots of sweet memories in your wonderful home Michelle. It felt like home by the time we left, and we hope to get to enjoy it again someday.

Great layout

We were visiting for thanksgiving week along with our extended family. The layout of the house was great with plenty of beds/bedrooms and space for everyone. The pool was a great thing it have.

Our home has been a labor of love and we hope that our efforts are enjoyed by you and your family too. Our boys have all helped in preparing to make your stay a joy. We are all excited to host you.

Why they chose this property

We originally chose the home for its close proximity to our sons elementary school but have benefited from all the perks of its location as well.

What makes this property unique

Our home is in a great location. On a private street that has a tropical feel amid the attractions. The Alligator farm is literally at the end of the street, we bike ride into town and walk to the Amphitheater or Lighthouse. The State and public beach are as close as 1 to 1.5 miles from the house too.
