Worst place I have ever staid
This place had no central heating or air, no thermostat, bed was 20 years old and I could not sleep on it at all, there are weird heaters along the bottom of the floor and it says they are fire hazards to have anything close to them, toilet hardly flushed, and furnishings were extremely outdated. I would highly recommend looking somewhere else especially for the price I paid I could have just staid in a hotel for 2-3 nights in Banner Elk for the price I paid for 1 night. Highly do not recommend. Been traveling a lot for 10+ years now and this was worst spot I have staid in.

Good Service
The initial rental I checked into was not as advertised. I contacted Vacasa, they got in touch with the local agent, and I was upgraded and moved into a new spot within an hour and a half

Great View, Needed Cleaning
Spectacular view of the mountains and valley. Nice Deck at treetop level with table and seating for 4. DR has a very large table with seating for 6. LR furniture is very nice, with two overstuffed leather armchairs, a large fabric sofa (pretty saggy in the center) and a huge leather ottoman.Large TV with Spectrum so lots of movie choices. Stone fireplace with gas insert. Kitchen: dishwasher and disposal, a large refrigerator with ice maker. The dishes in great shape but pots and pans are old and have been badly abused by previous guests so if you need a good fry pan, bring one. The flatware is also ok. There are plenty of knives but not a single knife is sharp so if you need to cut something bring a sharp knife. Found very dusty cutting boards on top of fridge. Electric stove. The coffee pot only brews lukewarm coffee. Management provides a sponge, paper towels, trash bags, laundry pods, dishwasher pods, dish detergent and hand soap. The floors are oddly uneven between the hall and the living room, so you feel like you are walking down then up hill as you move from the front of the condo to the living room. It feels like the place has a “sag” in the middle. Completely stable, but odd. The bath has a “good enough shower”. There is also a jetted tub that looks big enough for four people. King bed with an unusual curved metal head and footboard. Overly firm and the pillows stink! The pillows and the comforter are in need of a good washing!!! The pillows should probably have a plastic cover. Generally the place is in need of a good cleaning. There are cobwebs everywhere and the window sills don’t look as if they routinely get a dusting. The windows and doors need to be cleaned and the sliding door to the patio is almost impossible to open or close once you get it open. This is the bottommost of three stacked condos, and the next level up contributes a variety of annoying noises. Besides hearing the folks upstairs walking around, there is something happening on the upper levels that creates a tapping noise that sounds exactly like someone rapping on your front door. Also, something upstairs (running water, maybe, or a jetted tub) caused a constant screaming sound like a smoke detector in the bathroom for about an hour on our first night. Fast Internet.

Solid but a little rough around the edges...
A fundamentally solid accommodation, however, many details seemed overlooked. Examples? 2 total bath towels for a 4-day stay, under-sized water heater (re: jacuzzi), no window blinds, etc....
