Quiet, Peaceful & A Lovely Host
We had hoped to get to the property before an evening show we needed to attend. Delayed by the traffic, we arranged with Diane to come afterwards & she was very obliging. She showed us everything we needed to know. It's a good location, sort of in the middle of a lot of things. There are great places for kayaking, canoeing, hikingm dunes etc. We didn't have time to do too much but we did kayak the Platte River down to Lake Michigan. It is a LONG outing but really wonderful. We also went up to Traverse City & checked out The Village at the Commons & the Mercato. The buildings are retrofitted and full of new tenants since being a pyschiatric hospital. Really cool with several old buildings waiting to be reformed! It is a very quiet and cute place to stay. We saw in the guest book that many guests saw deer in the mornings, sitting outside. We slept in. :) But the stars at night were something else, coming from a big city. Definitely recommend staying here! PS The Roadhouse in Benzonia is great. But expect to wait forever if you want to eat outside. Copernish Kitchen & Coffee is a little place not too far that's inexpensive for a simple breakfast. Really lovely family owned place and one of the better cups of coffee we found. Not sure why but the coffee in Michigan was not great, in general. If you're particular about coffee, you might want to bring some of your own. Loved staying at Diane's trailer and would do it again!

Short weekend trip
We needed a place to literally sleep and shower as we were in town for a family reunion. Beds were comfy, water was hot. Diana was very responsive and helpful. We were on the go so much did not get a chance to just hangout at the camper and enjoy all the nature that the area has to offer. Check in was different- which is understandable as it is a RV and there are things one must know so plan to set up a little meeting with the host- not just a keypad like all of our previous VRBO trips
