Set in traditional thatch-roof buildings, this serene lodge is a minute’s walk from the tranquil white sand Sunset Beach along Chwaka Bay and 66 km from Abeid Amani Karume International Airport.

The 8 cosy bungalows with traditional Makuti-style roofs feature 4-poster beds with mosquito nets and ceiling fans, as well as tea and coffeemaking facilities, and private verandahs with ocean or garden views. All offer en suite, open-air showers.

A breakfast buffet is free. There’s also an open-air seafood restaurant and bar, plus a garden with hammocks and swings. An airport and ferry shuttle, and dinner are available for a fee.
